Hi Guys
Is anyone using the 10.4 individual trade manager? It seems to be a great EA but for some reason evertime I load it onto a chart that has any open trades it closes out the trade.

As soon as a pending order is hit, the order will close in about 1 minute.

I have switched every possible option (jelko/kiwi/240, etc) or filter off but it makes no difference.

It doesn't make a difference if price is in profit or loss, or if I put in manual SL/TP.

I can use other EA's with no issues...and even on a new install of Empty4...not sure what is happening here.

Any thoughts ?

cheers
Daryl

I have noticed that the 10.4 Pending Order Placement Script is putting SL on orders some apx 20p away some 200+ p away - Anyone know what's happening here? - I didn't expect anything but an entry trigger?

NB 10.4 is based on trade below or above the 240 MA, that is where the stop is programmed, use ITM if you want more control

An example of trade using Pending Order Placement Script showing Stop Loss at 240 LWMA, this determines if the stop is 20 pips or 200 pips, so do any position sizing calculation BEFORE using script

PA for me, is to close to your pending entry.

The AO is still negative bars and the STO5 has not turned up.

Still another 33 minutes to next 4H candle.

See what happens.

EDIT: Also PA is along way from the 240 line.

I just posted this and then it hit me. "PRICE ACTION"

Thanks

PS. Where is the best place to put trade ideas for 10.4 in the hope that a more experienced trader may comment on it and point out errors and problems with your trade idea?
try the main forum - if you get a favourable response - they're very helpful - then that's the place... if not, try here & hope.. I posted a couple last night on the main forum and got some help back.. good luck
Thanks Padnoter, I did post two on the main forum a couple of days ago. The silence was deafening so it left me thinking that the trade ideas was such crap that noone could be bothered to responsd (In fact they did end up being crap ideas :)) .

Mark,

A lot of us don't trade gold actively. I watch it, but more as an indicator of risk on/off and how it correlates with the s&p and other futures. So while I can give you a quick and dirty analysis of whether the trade met the rules... didn't really feel comfortable telling you to short gold there. In fact not sure I can trade gold from the short side and I am typically as unbiased as they come. Gold is one thing I'd nibble at on the fundamental side to try and build a position with a nice average cost.

Metals are an interesting animal, imho. Your chart and comments were well laid out. From a chart point of view it looked like gold was severely oversold and pulling back. There is MASSIVE long term demand in the 1540s.

Don't ever think the idea is crap, because it didn't get a big response. You were just in an area where a lot of people aren't that comfortable and don't want to insert their foot in their mouth.

Thanks Mike for pointing that out, I appreciate your comment.

Hi:

http://fxtrade.oanda.com/analysis/currency-heatmap

There appears to be some correlation between this heatmap and Bobs Slope Strength on the 10.4 info page.

Can anyone say whether this heatmap is worth looking at in respect to 10.4.

Thanks
Mark

It's a good place to see what is moving. Designed to show activity in the pairs, the slope heatmap is a little more biased towards changes in strength vs. pure movement.
