eurusd, usdcad, nzdusd, audusd, eurjpy, audjpy, gbpaud, cadjpy, nzdjpy

I will be interested to see what Gday does at the new candle as both the stoch lines for nzdusd, nzdjpy have already crossed out of ob/os.

Will Gday recognise that the stochs have been in ob/os already and have moved out or will it think the stoch set up is not yet correct for a trade?

I have also set up a 2nd demo, Gday fully automatic on all available charts
Gday is programmed to act on the last tick of the previous candle and the first tick of the new one - assuming George and I (ok, so mostly TIG) have picked up on any bloops.

It the market was already out of ob/os yesterday, then the bot will not take the trade if you are using the version in post 1. If you are using the experimental version and have ChillOutShelley set to true, then it will already have taken the trade. Possibly. There comes a point where it is impossible to code for every possibly eventuality and users have to accept that a robot will do what a robot does, and figure out for themselves what that is.

Doesn't appear the jumping stop worked for me. I placed the ea and disabled the breakeven stop leaving the jumping stop set to true..

gbpaud went down by 70 + pips, with no intervention by the jumping stop.. is set to default of 50.....

Do u mean up by 70 pips ?

What is ur lot size ? If it is lot = 0.3, then the jump stop will be triggered when ur +150 pips profit.

Or am I wrong ?

Many thanks to Sir Steve, Fxozgirl and other contributors for this wonderful ea.

Cheers.

Watch your Jumping Stop inputs. I have programmed Gday to close a third of the position every time a jumping stop event occurs, so having this too narrow will part-close your trade prematurely. Also make sure you lot size can be divided by 3; there is no idiot checking.

Steve,

Does this also mean the last 1/3 of the trade will close at 150 pips or will the last 3rd of the trade run until closed by a retrace to the jumping stop?

ie. Trade moves to +50 1st 3rd closes
Trade moves to +100 2nd 3rd closes
Trade moves to +150 last 3rd closes

As I didn't really provide a lot of detail in my pm, here's some more about the trade exit strategy I've been using...

My main focus has been account preservation, which is why the trade is taken divisible by 3 and using mptm to manage the trade utilising the break even, jumping stop & close partial trades functions

These are the settings I have been using in mptm
Use Breakeven: true
Breakeven Pips: 50
Breakeven Profit: 2

Jumping Stop: true
Jumping StopPips: 50

Part Close Enabled: true
Close Lots: 0.01 (or 1/3 of your opening trade size)
Preserve Lots: 0.01 (or 1/3 of your opening trade size)
The trade reaches 50 pips profit and first 3rd of trade closes, locking in 50 pips profit and moving stop to BE +2 - we're now in a safe trade and the market can do what she likes :o

by using these functions this allowed me to
1. get into a free trade asap (by locking in profits at 50 pips and moving stop to BE +2
2. if trade continues to run, we can then lock in another 100 pips by closing the 2nd third of the trade which then jumps the stop to +50 for the last 3rd of the trade
3. if market continues to go in our direction, this last 3rd is left to run and is closed either at reaching full TP of 500 pips or retraces back to the jumping stop

By having a staged exit, I am securing my trade first and foremost, but also getting as much out of the trade as possible (even though I do leave some pips on the table with the retrace, I'm still happy)

Hope this makes sense....
It leaves the final third running.

:D
I am assuming the ea jumping stop works the same as described here except the final 3rd runs....... I also noted somewhere that the breakeven stop should be set to False to allow the 1st jump at 50 to do its thing...

0.3, but I do not see what lot size would have to do with it...

Profit = 70 pips, lot = 0.3.

Therefore, price has moved 70 pips divided by 3 = 23 pips.

Jump stop will be triggered when price has moved 50 pips.

Empty4 doesn't multiply the pips profit by your lot size. If it's showing 70 pips profit it's that many whether you have .01 lots or 5 standard lots. Now if you're showing your profit in $ then that's another story.
