I use IC Markets for live trading. They are by far the best I have used, they are absolutely as advertised - true ECN. You can place orders inside the spread. Spreads are by far the best, zero or 0.1 pips on EURUSD is common. There are no disconnection, price freezing around news, tick filtering, or closing for 5 minutes at the start of the day issues, that I have experienced with other so called ECN Empty4 brokers. I also have a CNS VPS, so am colocated with their servers in the NY data centre, which probably helps.

I would highly recommend the CNS / IC Markets combo, particularly for EA's and scalping.

You can also get the commission reduced to $5.50 per lot instead of the usual $7.00. Just ask them to move your account to the HFT introducing broker group after your account is set up. Unlike a normal rebate, it is actually a reduced commission at the time of trade - not a rebate.

I experienced problems with some eas when using both bridges. One time the Empty4 disconnected, so the ea stopped doing its job, and another time there was an order placed 12 times in a row, while at other demos from other brokers just correctly 1 time, so I assumed this was an issue with ftt or dukas sync. I stopped trying dukas because the forex is hard enough for me without this additional bridge issues, however I still think they are a good broker, if only they would provide direct Empty4 platform... Thanks

Thank for the info on ICMarkets+CNS, skoda2008, I will check that combination for sure. My current VPS at iwishost crushed yesterday night, and it is still down! oh hell, they suck so much...

I looked over ICM terms, and couldn't find their withdrawal fees on their www, anyone live with them got this info ? With a 5.5$ round turn commission, they could be really of interest (im into EU scalping, low spread/com being crucial). Im done with fxopen ecn. Their demo environment freezes too much on EU. Sometimes no less than 30 minutes - with 10 pips squeezes. No more of this.

What ever the bank charges as far as I'm aware. Usually $20-$30 for an international transfer. Nothing if transferring to an Australian account.
