forexdj, i cant seem to see that option in the ea, re tick signals and candle close signals, am i missing something, cheers

It's the 5th setting in the EA. i.e CheckOncePerBar. If it's True, the EA will trade on closed candles signals and if it's false the signals will be tick based.

Hi Cono just in addition to what Forexdj has said, I think you might have a problem with Bobs 15 lwma because it follows price so closely. The ea will only open a trade if you have a candle open above the 15 lwma and the condition has been met with the stochastics turning at your specified o/s area whether it be 5, 10 or 20 that you have entered as the "Stoch_OS" on your ea input. Hope I am making sense.

If you prefer using the 15 lwma I suggest that you set the stochs o/s to 50 or above which in the case of the pic you posted, should open a trade.

i put the EA on some indices, and oil, gold, cant get it to trade, just using the original template, plus the indies, any thoughts, using ootb settings

Hi All,

I'm still trying to work out how to set this all up. I'm not experienced with NB 10.6, but have all of the files and will nut it out when I get time.

The TCO side of things looks great, so thought I'd contribute by building a Setting Manager Spreadsheet. (attached)

Links to where I found the files are hyper linked in the name of the contributor.

Tabs:
Summary: Shows all of the setting with anything different from OOTB highlighted.
EXPORT: Copy and paste the setting you want into a .set file and away you go. (the top comment has the name of the contributor so you know what you're running.

If anyone has any other .set files they would like to contribute please upload them and I'll add them to the sheet.

The thing is john if you're going to baby sit, might as well trade manually, which is not a problem, got to grips with the system and its working fine, very tempted to go live this week, time is always the problem

I was looking to TCO as way of doing entries, except I didn't want to miss moves, so I take them live, rather than a heads up, like The_Snowman. I figured if an entry wasn't good, I'd close for a small win/loss, if looking good I'd set a more reasonable TP/SL depending on S/R and round numbers. Unfortunately this still requires screen time (baby sitting) and depends on ones ability to read PA, which my skill is so/so.

On USDCHF this week, the first trade (1st red line) there was a bounce off the DP (1st black arrow) but I was busy and would have ignored since trades need room to breath. Later the price hugs the bottom of the MP, then the top of the MP, would have (yes hindsight) been a good time to close at loss, although was almost near the ATR SL anyway.

The second USDCHF trade (2nd red line) did make a clear rejection off the DP again (2nd black arrow) so I closed at a small loss as price ploughed through the 60MA. None of that would of happened if I couldn't or willing to "baby sit"

So that is trading, a good EA can assist us. I'm not lecturing, just showing how I'm approaching TCO + NB.

Hi Guys Tco Trader today so far, for me. Have not had a losing day since I started this 2 weeks ago. I also close all the trades out at the end of each day whether I have losers or not. Winning percentage still stays above 80%'
