At this risk of alienating you, Tommaso, could I try a version that works on bar open without the SR indicator, i.e., just the breakout box and the MA filter. PPPPPpppplease.

it can't create the breakout zone with only open data..(here are the highs/and lows needed) that's the problem.. the SR indi makes here nor problem.. Cheers Tommaso |

Ahhh, now I am following you! Lets just use a box created from bar open then. Might still work given the nature of this system and the trade length. (I know I getting way off topic here, apologies for that). |

Understood. Tough to say without some experimenting, but perhaps a week of profitable trades from a Hi/low 8 bar box might also result in a week of profitable trades from an open-open 9 bar box as we are talking about longer term moves here. Anyway, I am done distracting this thread. I will run some tests and a demo on the original concept. Thanks again Tommaso. |

So it means that if not all positions are closed on Friday, no new trade will open on Monday ? Wich positions are closed on Friday, trade 1, 2 or 3 ? Thanks |

Yes. Looks like it's one trade per friday, must be starting with trade 1. Not sure about trade 2, but trade 3 waits as long as it reaches its TP or SL. They are closed only at profit, but can't figure out the trigger. My intuition about closing on friday would be to add flexibility to be able to close all the trade on friday sooner. One way could be to close them only if they have reached a profit percentage or a distance in pips to be choosen in settings. Have a great day! |

Here comes a new version, with the SL TP2 management of the X versions and a smaller SL. New is the fridaypart close OOTB. Use extern double SetBEminPipTP3=110; extern double SetBEminPipTP2=50; for setting the min distance the the new SL must have to the actual price...Should be too work fine with UJ... Cheers Tommaso |

nonlinear asked me for a special version that can be used for simultan forward testing in crappy backtester, this version uses only open bars, it sets all for the zonebuild needed stuff automatic to the right EndOfZoneDetermingHour you have set, you can use it on a M1,M5 or M15 tf best would be M1 tf...You can use it with only open data if you want fast ideas..
