03 - Pipcruiser Dashboard – Signals – EA - MPTM

I can't get the dashboard indicator to load on a chart. I have tried on two different computers, but the platform just hangs and becomes unresponsive, even after 30 mins.

Just to be clear, I have used a new GP platform, applied the ForceLoadHistoricalData script until there were no problems, closed and re-opened the platform, one eurusd H1 chart open only, applied PPC-DASH-2002.tpl. I can see the dashboard, but the platform is unresponsive and data flow in the lower RH corner shows 0/0kb.

On another platform, I limited the Max bars to 1,000 in Tools/Options/Charts, before doing all the above again, but same result, platform is unresponsive.

I don't know what else to try - I'd welcome any ideas, thanks.

Any news?

Which broker are you using?
Which MTCrap platform are you using?
Do you have any suffix with your broker like EURUSDm ?

Thanks gringoh. I just tried again, using the latest dashboard and ea from post 1. I have forced download of data, and then applied the dashboard, on two computers. The platforms still become unresponsive in my hands, even after waiting 15 mins . I am using Global Prime build 765 and there are no prefixes or suffixes.

using latest version of dashboard and ea, i used forceloadhistoricaldata, using global prime Empty4 demo and 2003 tpl applied and no pending trades for me so far

I tried both my platforms again, and now they show No connection, while other GP platforms are working OK on those 2 computers.

GP demo and even tried GP live Empty4 accounts (Version 4 Build 765), No Suffix or what so ever.
Just installed new versions and opened only two charts, loaded ForceLoadHistoricalData without any failures, etc. I tried the tpl, and after a complete new install also just the Indicator on the chart.. both same thing the terminal is hanging..

As others have had no problems setting up & using the dashboard on a GP demo, logic dictates there is no problem with the software. Sadly this means you may have to accept you are unable to run the dashboard on your current system.

No idea why this is, but can't see a solution.

It is running fine for me too GP build 765.

I have one GP demo (Version 4 Build 765) running with the first Pip Dashboard (V1.02) without any problems, and is on the same VPS. Just the newest install is.. :youknow:

probably your VPS had not enough RAM or CPU (or both) to support the latest version , make sure that you try only run one instance of the dashboard...

Hi Guys,

I am trying to find a solution to your problems, but at the moment I don’t see where the problems are coming from, as here, I don’t have any problem.

Here are a few ideas:

- In PP dashboard, in the input ThePairs, try to limit the pairs to 1 pair, then, if it is working, add pairs one after the other to see how many pairs your platform can handle.

- In PP dashboard, in the input UpdateEveryXseconds, try to increase this value to 5 seconds even 10 or 30 seconds to see if it is working. This input is working with the OnTimer function of the dashboard. For the HGI dashboard we need the calculation to be performed at a second level, for PP dashboard it shouldn’t be an issue if you increase this value.

Nothing has really changed since version V1.02 (only infos displayed on chart).

Here I have 2 computers:

- 1 laptop (the monster used for development only): Mac Book Pro Retina, i7 2,30 GHz, 16 go RAM, 64 bits, SSD
- 1 PC (computer on 24 hours used for testing): i7 2,80 GHz, 6 go RAM, 64 bit

On my personal computer, at the moment, I have 4 MTCrap instances with 9 HGI dashboard instances, 7 PP dashboard instances and HGB on 28 pairs and resources used are still ok.

Before to open your MTCrap platform, try to open your task manager and to monitor resources used when you launch MTCrap and the dashboard….

Just a few ideas…

Is no one willing to give me advice in order to setup Dashboard.tpl 2004 and mptm.tpl 2004

i have the Dasboard and mptm from page 1 setup on 2 charts but dont understand how to setup the 2004 tpl's
with them

Not trying to be nasty to you but .....
To be brutally honest you need to be asking this type of question in one of the beginners threads.

Until you understand the concept of templates etc. and preferably know Empty4 backwards, you have very little hope of getting these advanced EAs working.

Sorry but you can't run before you can walk .....
