I have been playing with it, I mean Bob 'n Grid, for the last 3 weeks. This new Vl on the H4 with the attached set file in the last 24hrs raked in $1,302. I'm sure market timing, 10am EST to 10am EST Jan 14 -Jan15, had something to do with but it is the best I've seen in 3 weeks.

Really looking forward to next week. Any body any suggestions to the set file??

V 1m is in post 1.

This one is for those of us using Semafor to close the successful part of a hedged position in the hope of being able to close the unsuccessful part when the market reverses. The code in version 1l had vast faults that only came to light tome on Friday. The code wasn't even in the right place. :arrrg: Hey ho.

I just noticed a little cosmetic thingy you guys can fix for yourselves if so inclined.

Line 586:
+ ": Cash upl = " + IntegerToString(BuyCashUpl)
becomes

HGB 'n G caught the GJ/GU down moves today on my live account - stop and limit orders. +516 pips.

There were more on the table but I don't care. I had not heard Mark Carney's announcement at the time. I just looked at the profits that had accrued so quickly and wondered if I should close the trades.

These days, the moment I wonder if I should close the trades, then I do so without hesitation. All those years of seeing a decent position turn bad and end up blowing the account have taught me something. :good:

The best policy is, "if in doubt , close position in profit" :yahoo: this is awesome to see you catch this move. I was just wondering if anyone did or not.

Steve what version of Empty4 are you running for your live account? does the ea ever hang on you time to time?

I have been doing some reading the Empty4 platform and it truly is as crappy as you claim. It seems like the Empty4 developers are simply lost and push updates without doing any sort of controlled testing. :arrrg:

I'm going to run couple more demos on two different machines and see if I can resolve this issue before going live with small account.

V 1n is in post 1 for those of us playing with hedging and semafor. The code still was not quite correct.

I just watched him close half the hedge on an opposite direction semafor and then send new stop orders, so it is working properly now. It can still be derailed if some of the inputs are incorrect, so 1m is set up to default to the experiment and all you need to change with is the lot size.

I will add some code to enforce values on those inputs that might derail things and put that up later.
