Yes Wavegarrick you are, thanks alot now is runing. I am testing sngle 34 EMA and from midnight until 03:00 the result is + 90 usd. My TP 200 , SL 200 pips without to hit eny SL.

Hi All,

I got involved into fx spot trading largely because of MAD strategy designed by George which convinced me that there is no element of impulsive trading and is compatible with my trading business model.

In fact, I was intrigued and attracted by George's slogan of low risk, low stress, high reward and high probability trades. I could not believe that fx spot can give similar advantages that options trading provides me, which for me is a serious home-based enterprise, and not a gambling play.

Ren has produced a piece of art which has helped me a lot during the couple of days to extract maximum from JPY cross currency pairs during my daytime hours coinciding with Tokyo and London hours. MAD- EA has improved my analytical abilities which is reflected in the 15% performance during these couple of days I have achieved after using MAD-EA. At this rate of success and without spending much time on the screen, I should be able to double my account in 6 months.

I am a mechanical trader who relies on trade sense (largely a result of my 20 years spent in currency trading - mostly options). I am not using stop-loss and the goal is to hit 15-20 pips in as less time as possible and 80 pips is daily target. I basically wait for the EA to identify the strong and weak groups. I scan the group pairs and select the ones which I feel are likely to move rapidly. I take a look at the behaviour of the pairs during last 10 bars of 1m or 12 bars of 5m to calculate how much TP I should go for. Trading decision is based on my study (intuition) of how the currency pairs are approaching the Round Numbers and how many other currency pairs are involved in the round number zones. I avoid extreme high or extreme low prices in order not to get trapped in the waiting room.

On the back of my mind I know I can always use options to cover my mistakes. So I avoid using stoploss for the time being. However, I am eager to know from the MAD-EA traders on using stoploss.

My EA was not supposed to deploy until about 2 hours to London open but it went straight into action as soon as I turned the EA on without even knowing as I left to spend time with my family, only to come back and find these trades :hi:

You're most welcome, and I'm sure different traders will contribute to your question.

When I'm trading strength and weakness, I expect momentum and quick profit within a short while. My SL is to use the close unprofitable trade after 15 or 30 minutes, otherwise I want to move to breakeven of 10 pips and thereafter, trail the SL by 40 pips. Just my 2 cents.

Id like to thank the creators' and the contributors for this EA.

I've launched it, and it is going well, please see the signature for the demo (Madly). I am going to leave it for a while.

I have had problems with the start/stop trading times, but i believe I've sorted that, or at least I hope so.

There is one rogue trade there at the moment due to the trade time problem so it will probably blow a huge hole in the account, but it would appear that it will make it back.

The current setup is from Bazze's set file based on Wavegarricks setup, with a few minor adjustments (timing and cycles).

MAD-EA has been doing some good entries lately (partly helped by the nice market slide we've seen,that is now reversing/retracing), but the exit strategy has not been properly addressed.

My thoughts are to use the wealth of information from the dashboard, not only for our entries, but also for our exits. MAD-EA is BUYing a currency pair XXXYYY, if the currency group XXX is strong (as measured by the required number of UP arrows on the specified time frames) and if the currency group YYY is weak (as measured by the DOWN arrows). The idea is to exit this BUY if either the currency group XXX, is strong_exhausted, or the currency group YYY is weak_exhausted. The terms strong_exhausted and weak_exhausted are again defined by the number of UP arrows and DOWN arrows respectively, and configurable per time frame. Something like: if you need 5 UP arrows to be Strong, you can argue that with less than 2 UP arrows the Strength is exhausted.

Problem with MAs is of course is that they lag -- and you might be late to the party: late for entry and late for exit.

I am testing this idea now as we speak and will upload the update if this has some legs.

I couldn't agree more with you Captain. This is war and we must protect our "pips." :)

Hi guys

Mad coming back with a bang..... but today was typical scenario where price has retraced back to the daily open (magenta line)(my trade was taken on the vertical green line) and that before london open :arrrg: Never learn do u...If I had waited patiently and maybe did some checks on the charts this could have been prevented.
Gy stop at -150 was taken out by the way but all good now and back in the green my basket currently +250 pips
