There is an error in the lot size calculation for lots / 1000 of balance

Existing code:

SendLot = (RoundDown * 0.1) / 1000;
Uses a fixed 0.1 ratio, the correction is

SendLot = (RoundDown * LotsPerThousandOfBalance) / 1000;
Other than that, I'm loving this one. Out of the box, running on AUDUSD and GBPUSD my demo has gone up 70% in 3 weeks. It would have been higher, but I tried to add pairs without changing the lot size per pair and ran out of margin.

Nice SteveM, I'll check if this fixes the issue.

Now, Even though I'm not getting the same gains as I'm using ULTRA conservative lot sizes, pips are raking in constantly. May I ask which lot size per balance are you using and PipsBetweenTrades? also, Also, could you please confirm is TP exactly OOTB?

On a 5K demo, initial lot 0.2, lots / 1000 0.1 (mainly due to above) all else the same.
Since last week: initial lot 0.2, lots / 1000 0.05 and more pairs.

Also trying it now on a small live account, with smaller sizes. Fingers crossed it keeps going

At least in my case, to be honest, it is not worth to give our opinion if the only thing we are going to receive are insults. But as I said this is not my house, neither my rules.

Since 5/2 only, trading all pairs on FXDD except the NZD ones with .1 lots, I'm up $83 but have $450 DD with OOTB settings. Perhaps someone could post a set file and the best pairs to be traded to get the profit to DD ratio down.

As I am largely responsible for starting this thread maybe I should contribute.

BTW guys, Steve is one of the good guys. Please don't take it personally and confuse banter with insults - it's just English humour. If he really thought you were a total idiot you wouldn't still be here. Anyway, please take a look at my post here, and Steve's response. It seems we are all in accord now. Applies to every grid trading system I have ever looked at. Every grid trader, by definition, will trade successfully - until it encounters conditions that cause it to blow up. Call it death trade, black swan, whatever, sooner or later it will happen.

If you can plan for that event, or somehow manage it, and if you can deal psychologically with massive drawdown for long periods, then you might come out on top. It's a big "if" but - please - don't stop trying.

After 4 weeks, I have doubled my demo account (from $5,000 to $10,053). As the demo is an Axitrader account, it only lasts one month so it will stop in a day or two.

There has been very few trades in the last few days due to most pairs that I have it on not having the right conditions to create the breakout box. I have started a small live account trading this one, but with much more conservative lot sizes because one thing I learnt during the demo was that this can get away real quick if it runs low on cash.

In the time it was running, I had 2 days where I lost money, the first was when I had too many pairs and too big a lot size and the system ran out of cash, I had to close losing trades to get it running again. The second was when I was fiddling with the lot size calculator and I had a trade that, while gaining 100 pips, had bigger trades on the losing side than the winning side. Both of these were my fault and not the fault of the EA.

It will be interesting to see the result of a longer live test, but it really depends on market conditions.

I have been running this on the IC Markets True ECN account with outstanding results. I am up 118% in 3.5 weeks.

I have had to tweak the settings a little to get get the lot sizes right at the start but it seems to work fine now.

I will keep it running for anther 4 weeks before going live, so I will post an update soon.

Fortunately their demo does not expire :-)
