Hi Jem,

A couple of questions if I may..

Are you trading when the lines actually cross (perhaps with other supporting information like tested support/resistance or M W patterns) or only when the previous H4 candle has closed with a cross?

Do you trade when D1 is ranging or only when trending (based on a CSS threshold > 2 for example)?

Cheers.
Hey Joe,

I'm watching the dashboard on D1 and H4. When I see that the current H4 bar is crossing in direction of D1 I enter the trade and then use the dashboard EA to either close at 0.2% or when the H4 crosses the wrong way +/- 0.2 level.

Trying to keep it simple for now to get a feel for how it's working. So far it seems pretty good, closed another basket on Friday.

Cheers
Jem

Thanks Jemook nice method - how did you only get to show two TF's and two bars - I can't find that in the inputs - did I miss a version? :arrrg:

Yes good. I like trading with the momentum on current bar too. Makes sense. Cheers.

Yep, I was wondering the same thing regarding just having daily and 4hr.

Can anyone also explain what is happening here with my daily figures. Tried a number of things but no luck

Thanks Andrew

Change Look Back Bars to 1 in the dash / EA settings. Mine is still showing H1, it's just not included in the screengrab.

Yep, and the H4 close-out if it goes the wrong way gets you out of a bad position pretty quick. Might also stop a trade that eventually goes your way but you can always re-enter again and the point is to build up a basket of winners that eventually hits the basket TP %

My display looked like that too until I populated my history more fully for all the pairs on that broker using the LoadHistory script available elsewhere on here.

All the best

Jeff

Hi Guys,

An update on my tests with my setfiles posted 3 weeks ago.. A known fact that we will have losing days, even weeks but that does not deter me and makes me more determined to tweak my stops etc.

Thanks to Jem's advice here I have tweaked my daily setfile (Daily, 4hrs and 1 Hr) to .20 % profit and -.20% s/loss and this has stabilized my results which otherwise was a disastrous week, last week.

I am very happy with my weekly setfile (W1, Daily, 4Hrs). Have decreased weekly s/loss to -1% with a take profit at 2% for the time being.

My monthly sefile ( Month, weekly, Daily) chugging along and what amazes me is the low d/downs I am experiencing with this setting. I have a feeling that if I give this setfile enough breathing space, will turn into something very good...Early days :good: Using -1% s/loss and 5% take profit at this stage.

Overall result still very good with this Ea.

Cheers
Leon
