What do you think of adding a parameter 'MaxPairsPerCurrency'?
Setting it to a value of '2' would mean that a currency can't be more then two times part of all currency pairs who have open trades.
This would avoid an unweight of currencys.

What do you think?

(At the moment I have four open currencypairs and three of them contain JPY which seems to be strengthen the lasthours and made some significant drawdown.)

Getting very interesting.....

Ok another succesful week gone and still 100% but... I notice my V3 is now taking longer to close the 1% target. The last 2 trade closures took nearly 2 days each. Notice the length of the last 2 orange lines compared to previous ones.

So what can we glean from this information? Well my conclusion is we are reaching the limits of the achievable tartget for 1 day closures of 1%, which happens to be around the $1000 equity.

I actually watched live the EA get to within $2 of target and then reverse only to come back and hit target 2 days later. So to counter this we either lower the target to perhaps 0.8%/day or increase our lots, trades/dollop. The trouble is by reducing our target we will eventally hit the buffers again some time in the future, so to me this is the wrong option. I have started 2 other demos in the past with much lower equity than $500 and they are succesful but will also probably struggle near $1000 equity, so with this in mind I have changed the trade /dollop of 0.01 tradesize to $500, which hopefully means the EA will trade 0.02 lots at anything more than $1000 and 0.03 at $1500.

So please be aware my V3 as of today has the new settings, we shall see if it works :? I also have a live a/c running a bit behind the V3 demo so I need a strategy for when it hits $1000 and a V5 version which seems so far to be doing better.

hilavoku: To answer your question. I had the same drawdown although it wasnt excessive, but guess what all the JPY pairs came good and we hit profit. So to answer your question I wouldnt change anything yet. Logically you are correct but while it still works why change it :)

Wallywonka: Letsarb:I think we need to combine all the additions into a new version, what do you think? Also what specifically are the bug fixes?

Interesting chart the 100 magic number is 5M (4HSS) and 101 15M (1DSS) timeframe

Thanks for the reply and the info about your findings c1borg.
I will also re-read the manual to better understand when/how open trades will be closed and what Awesome does when price is running into the 'wrong' direction.
I will post some data of my demo in the next days. At the moment it is +9,84% since last tuesday. :good:

1st of all thank you for creating this thread.

I am so happy I started demoing AWSS as results were and are so good that my stomach is tickling.
If disaster will not hit in the next few months I will be going live and I'm scared as s****; it will be my first and I'm a bit worried of where this is going to lead...
What I am testing so far are slight variations of your V3, V4 set files adding recovery and BasketCashPercentageJumpTarget into the mix.

Its a bit early to say, but BasketCashPercentageJumpTarget introduced in v1c by Letsarbs seems to be promising. All demos that reads BCPJT20 in the demo name have been recompiled with the following:

AwSS V3-2113601 was recompiled as well with the above change in order to have a 1 to 1 comparison with AwSS V3+BCPJT20-2113602. Strangely enough, last week the 2 demos opened different trades and at Friday close, V3 was at +3.07% all position closed, while V3+BCPJT20 was at +0.72% with 2% of open DD.
Today Monday V3 closed 2 baskets (one at 8:41 and one at 17:13) totaling +1.93% (not sure why, I was expecting it to take the first 1% basket and then stop for the day).
V3+BCPJT20 is recovering well, no basket closed as of yet, but equity was up to 106.31% (105.10% now) which means so far 4.5% profit should be locked in... not bad at all.

Also, I am trying to modify v1c in order to externalize BasketCashJumpTakeProfit and BasketCashPercentageJumpTarget so that anyone could easily set their own TP values. So far I've reached the point where the new code just compile with no errors, I haven't had the time to test it yet.
Anyone interested (Letsarbs ?) PM me and i will send the code; it took me forever to code it and its going to take me even longer before I get to test it properly...

Firstly "Awesome" work haha :smile: I am still using V1b the reason is there are now several code additions and variations of the basic system, from several different contributors. I have no way of knowing if the code is correct or what ideas work and what dont. Thats why I asked if a talented coder can combine the different versions with the ability to turn features on and off. I dont want to break the original idea and thats why I am cautious.

You have some interesting results, why dont you add them to the DB :good:

I actually am contributing. :smile:
I set up 6 total AWSS demos, but only 2 show up so far; I guess the last 4 I added didn't submit enough data yet in order for them to be published.
If they do not appear by the end of the week I will ask Thomas to check why.

EDIT:
I think I actually found the issue. Even if the header of the file still reads v1c, the DB code was outdated.
I am now changing this

Gonna stick my head on the block here and say it worked like a dream :clap: didnt seem to struggle as before to hit the target and closed in tandem with my live account which has a lower balance :smile:
