Can someone with coding skills help me out with the CCI TD indicator. I want the indicator to send a signal to TDesk when the cci is above the zero line for up and below zero line for down.

I use this cci indicator with value 200 on an H1 tf chart. 200 cci line above zero line is trend up, below trend down. Very simple but very effective.

Hope someone can add this function to the CCI TD V2 indicator?

Hi Jasper,

Try this one.

Would be nice if you shared your setup.

Thanks Ben for the great help regarding the CCI Indicator, it works!

Here my setup: What I do is I only watch the big moving pairs like GbpAud, GbpJpy, GbpNZD, EurAud, EurNzd, GbpCad etc. Why these pairs, these are big movers, so I can easy get my 40 pips a day.

I use the 21 sma and 200 sma cross in the direction of the CCI 200 trend, as soon as the 21 stoch crosses the 50 level you almost always get 40 pips. I also use a currency strength meter to see wich pair is weak and wich strong but TDesk gives you this too. The Baluda indicator and HGI I added just to test with the TDesk dash, these indicators are not needed.

What I do use is the Cap Channel trading indicator, you can download it for free on the mql marketplace. I only trade counter trades wich are outside the channel. If you have question let me know? My tpl is attached.

Another tip: What also comes handy when you start trading with this, in the TDesk dash to select only the GBP group and wait till London session starts, look at the currency strengths and pick a pair wich Ma's and CCI are lining up enter and put in tp 40 pips(exept EurGBP skip that one) and you will see you mostly end up with your 40 pips :) You can repeat this exercise in the US session.

Thanks again for fixing the CCI indicator!

Could you share your TD settings also, so I can see how you set your alert levels. Meanwhile , I'll search for a channel indi who is low on resources.( I downloaded your channel indicator, but on 28 charts it freezes my PC.)

I don't know what you mean with TD settings? I don't use an EA to take trades. I trade manually, but use TDesk dash so I don't have to switch charts and I can see in one glimpse wich pair(s) are interesting. After that I switch to the pair. Look if the conditions are met and I take the trade, there are some more edges but those require experience and maybe I will share those later. One of those conditions has to do with the stoch indicator, take a good look at that one ;)

Also you don't need 28 charts, focus on say 8 big movers like gbpaud, eurnzd etc. More you don't need. Do not use this 40 pips on a pair like audchf or eurgbp, you will get burned!

I got my 40 pips this morning on a short gbpcad trade during london session. Very easy and clean, after that I close my terminal and wait for another day :)

Hi Jasper,
Sorry I wasn't very clear in formulating my question. Of course I use this wonderful TDesk dashboard since its inception and I also trade manually as you do. What I would like to know are your settings in TDesk under the headings Solo/Multi/Super Signals, the parameters that trigger the signals.
best regards,
thomasmore

This is test setup from my demo account, hope this is what you mean. On my live account I use the same setup but without the XY42 indicator on it. I tried the automatic trading ea for TDesk on all pairs but as you see not the best combination.

Better stick with the fast moving pairs only and only trade in London or US session for the easiest trades.

Hello Jasper
thank you for sharing your setup.
I think the answer of thomas's question is that there is only solo signal that matters, because there are only 2ma cross and cci 200 indi that should agree as jasper said.

by the way jasper, I got interested in your trading ways especially the London and NY open trades on GBP.I traded them since yesterday on demo and they all ended with 40 green pips except for today and that was because of news of course.
cap channel is also interesting.I'm dealing with that too.

would be nice if you explain about your Stop loss and money management.

Cheers,
farhad

Hello Farhad,

Its not just 2ma cross and the cci 200 indi, its also the currency meter, you have to look wich pair is strong and wich weak.

About the GBP group of pairs, is a nice point to start, say the aud is the weakest of the bunch then you pick gbpaud, mostly you will see the 2ma and cci are lining up or almost lining up. Look at the stoch 21 how did it cycle before. I look left to see if there is big S&R if yes I do not take the trade, but this is rarely, because you pick a pair wich has strong against weak and a pair wich moves at least 100 pips a day or even more, so 40 pips you get easy.
But time of the day is very important! Sl use 40 pips. If your sl gets hit in london session, wait till us session and you will get 40 pips this way you won't end with a losing day. Next day you get your 40 pips and so on.

You will always get at least 80 pips a week. and more if you get some experience in wich trades not to take, sadly those reason are not programmable in a TDesk at least I wouldn't know how.. After some time practising with this system you will develop your own style of trading. I advice you too put the original cci and stoch indicators on the chart for better visual to get more feeling with the system.
Happy trading!

I use now the currency meter from page 1 in this thread, because it is compatible with TDesk, but you can use any currency meter. There are a lot of them for free, even on this site.
All times are UTC Page 13 of 34
