I feel your pain. Have done for years.

How is this for a scenario.

We have two live accounts. We buy GBP on one and sell on the second. Perfectly hedged, right?

For what it is worth folks, I long ago came to the conclusion that the markets and news are entirely unrelated apart from brief spikes following a news release.

GBP will do what is dictated by the Big Boys and they have probably already discounted Brexit altogether.

All I can say is that SPB has built huge grids of up to 15 orders against GBP. That will result in huge fun or total distress. Of course that had to happen immediately after I put FXT-SPB3 on some live accounts.

This takes me back to a time when when I would announce, "I have just bought ...... so sell it immediately". And vice versa.

For years I told people, as soon as you hear me say, "No one is going to pay good money for this!", run out and mortgage your house and buy the stock. My two most famous ones from my younger days:

1) seeing the first "cell" phones, big portal monsters for a few thousand dollars and $300-400/month. I said a loudly as I could, "nobody would pay good money for this! Why would you want people to reach you anywhere at any hour?"

2) The first local internet service - I can't remember how expensive, but it was up there. I said, "no one would pay good money for this! What in the world would you use it for?"

If you had traded opposite each of my first 500 Forex trades, maximum lot size each time, pushing your account to the max, you would be a millionaire twenty times over now...

Is Bob the one who said, "Live to trade another day?"
