Looking at pull backs to the upper channel of the four hour SDC for swing trades in direction of the down trend in this chart pic. Comparing the aqua check mark and vertical entry lines on the indicator to the SMI index it looks like they will work together nicely. Very distinctive peaks on the NT indicator. Just using the Diff around a center line with the 40 atr and 12 period settings. Remarkable how early the indicator can show Divergence, positive in this instance. Developing this for possible use in my four hour/position setup. Started a new thread. Hope to combine everything into a complete intraday through Swing/Position trading setup. Than make it into a real strategy. Experimenting but looks promising.

Nice Setup again... I'm already lurking on your new thread.

If you are using the Diff now I want point you to the fact that Diff and TMA are highly correlated and almost in sync. If you have the latest version of TMA-CSS you can view also the TMA slope in the indicator and compare it for yourself... I also released a MTF TMA SlopeHisto Indicator (see post 2).
The TMA uses much less resources than the TMA-CSS and shows almost the same information.
And you can also change atr- and tmaPeriod.

Just that you know,

Thanks NeoTrader, I will look it over and try the different settings. I am a little partial to the Diff but agree that the TMA is almost Right on. Sometimes the Diff is a little more expansive. I like that clarity but it is really not telling me anything that TMA is not. Really they both would do the same thing for me. So I will probably make the substitution for the benefit of everybody.

EDit Oh I see it is the MTF version you have been talking about. Nice work. Definitely offers all kinds of possibilities in my setup, especially for a possible combined version of the two setups. Nice work. Really nice settings you have in that indi :D

This probably something stupid but I can't see it. Why are these versions different with the same inputs?? I hope you can read the attached, if not i'll re-send.

Actually it is nothing stupid...at least not from your side.. ;)

The new version shows the slope correlated to the current timeframe. The 1.0.2 version showed the slopes how you would have seen them when you where looking at them on the Chart in the (in your case) H1 TF...this means that the slope was showing the values for the bars in the H1 TF not how it correlates with the H4 TF...this are still the H1 Values but in sync with the H4...

Hope that you can understand what I mean or try to say... ;)

When I use Auto timeframe = True on both, They are the same. Should I just forget the question and use 1.0.3?? I read something from Jem about you getting the indicator in sync I will guess this has something to do with it?? Thanks for all your help and fantastic indicators. Keep up the good work!!

Ps ; is there any chance you could add the "auto timeframe == True or false to the indicator headeralong with the timeframe, just a a visual aid!

hehe...but the display is better now because now it is accurate with the TF of your chart.

This is because both are then in sync with the current Chart TF. The old version shows you always the slopes like you see them in the Chart TF the new version compresses or stretches the slope depending on the timeframe you want to see and the timeframe of your chart.
when you go to a lower timeframe and show the slopes of H4 or D1 it stretches the slope and you have a stairs like slope because the bars and the values on the 4H represent 4H of data in one candle and not like M30 only 30 minutes...so when you want to see the original H4 on M30 it must stretch over 8 bars...hope this makes it a little more understandable...;)

Definitely...since this one is more accurate in relation to your current chart TF.

hehe...I think there are some People her on the forum that think that there is already to much info on the Indicator header...and since it is only a short look away where you can get the info from your chart if you are in the same Period or not...I don't think that this will happen soon...;)

Very nice Neotrader, the joy of MTF. The histogram now take front stage in my setup. Love the colors and the timely MTF signals. Really terrific. Adds real value to the setup. The colors make for very distinctive patterns that are very informative of what is happening on each time period. Very cool.

Hello!

I find it odd that no-one else reported this so it might be user error, but I am having trouble getting the "alerts" to work on the last version 1.0.3.

I wanted to test the Diff crossovers in low timeframes while I was working this afternoon, so that the alert popup would bring Empty4 to my attention from my regular work, and that's when I got stuck. I remember seeing alerts before, so I reloaded 1.0.2 to re-check. I immediately started to get "alert" signals with it, so either there is something wrong in version 1.0.3 or there are different settings that I am too dumb to figure out.

Could you please show the way to get the alerts back in v1.0.3?
