Definitely not Adaptive SL at 20. Currently, stick to OOTB for that. I played with Adaptive TP about 20-25 is good, quick buck. :P

Yup, 200 pips is nothing - that's 20 pips a pair.

This is what I'm doing from now on. Whenever I get a setup I will open a basket and hold it until I get the next steup. Then I will record what the max pips and max loss was for that session per pair. Then after I while I will get a feel / average of what I should be using for my adaptivepipstp and adaptivepipsl. After that, I'm done - all the pieces of the puzzle are in place for me.

Also, one more strike. Thanks for keeping track.. Oh shit.

Jemook,

I noticed your pivot indicator is a little bit different than what I'm showing on the template I downloaded. I like the way the s/r's are off to the right. Which one is that.

It's a paid for indicator which I can't share nor say where I got it from. I'm going to upload a new template for people to follow along with by the end of the week.

Is there a dashboard thingy to display pairs which have DP, WP, MP in correct order or atleast WP and MP. this will help identify them and then look for thei rslope etc. as advised by Jemook.
If there is no such thing then I suggest some expert please develop this one. Thanks

Jem, I thought what you liked about the basket approach (and I do too!) is that you don't have to baby-sit all the trades individually. You just turn the basket loose and let it do its thing. But your comments here make it sound like you still manage each individual pair?

Yes, money mgmt is key. Once you decide a basket SL that makes sense, you will know how much you're risking in the basket, and that will tell you how big a position you can take. I think that will be a beautiful thing. :D

Yep I'm learning as I go along. I've noticed it's best to shut pairs that are non-performing. I will also shut pairs that have converging H1 CSS slopes. Once I know the threshold / average for max pips made per pair and max pips loss per pair i will be able to choose good settings for adaptivepipsTP/SL and then leave the trades alone.

I'm also trying to teach ideas behind 10.2 and 10.2a which is essentially what I am trading. I haven't really made any mods to the system apart from using the CSS slope and trading as a basket. So people need to see how I trade it.

Right now I'm still not 100% sure where to take profit / close losers but I'm very close.

The Daily Pivot Indicator from the THV thread at FF is as good as any; highly customization, check it out, 2 versions, light & dark charts.

yep jemook you are right...the converging of the slopes is almost every time a strong signal that the trend is changing or we are going into consolidation/ranging time. just want to confirm your observation...
The diverging of the slopes is a good signal for the start of a new trend. the steeper the the angle of the slopes the stronger the move...like in the TMA. DIFF-slope shows the Direction of the move also like the TMA.
