Thanks Tommaso for the quick reply.

Just so that I understand this fully, I always thought that the repainting was an issue because it removed "false" signals and gave a overly positive picture looking back on the charts. I didn't realise though that the signals would not actually appear without re-initialising? So in this case as an example, because I left my chart alone I didn't get a signal and yet if it had been re-painting I would have done. Have I understood that correctly? In which case, which is the prefered way of working?

- sorry about the images, no problems I will attach in future.

if you let it run it shows you the signals like the were drawn in past, if you let the indicator re-initialize, it calculates all signals, new under the actual closed candle conditions, in past, that gives an optimistic view..
so better not toreinitialize, if you want to check, how exact a signal would have been in past.

Cheers :)

Would it be possible in this case that reinitialising will give you a better look of the current market condition plus a potential signal that might help you get in or out of a trade quicker than you would have if you had let the indi open all the time?

If what I am saying is flawed in some way please let me know. I am not a coder so I don't know the inner mechanisms of the indi.

P.S. Just trying like Bruster to get my head around the whole idea. Wouldn't want to trade real money at some point without knowing what works best...

this is difficult to say, as no one has imo so far tested both ways of using HGI parallel for some time..
But make things not more complicated as they are, try to use HGI like Bob and many others do with success ;)

Cheers :)

Just read this conversation with interest as I have found the same thing and it's frustrating.
So which version is being used by Bob and any others, which gives the signal at the correct time without reinitialising the charts?
Thanks for your help.

you are complicating the thingy, Bob has some time written that he is content with the first version, as he looks at the signals and knows how to trade them, try to re read his PDF and some of his posts here and you will understand, it is a simple system, you will never understand it if you think too complicated..

Cheers :)

I Try the indicator from for about a month. This has been my first demo account, which is closed by CHF drama and the broker will soon no longer exist.

This is my current demo account:
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/IBX_Tra ... mo/1132797

I trade a mix of H4 and M5, M5 when I have time at the computer, and H4 of the rest.

This indicator provides very good signals and has lifted my trading a few steps to the top.

Thank you so much for that!!

PS.: Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany.
Fantastic results! Thanks for sharing! :good:
Please tell me which version you are using and does it give you the arrows at the correct time without reinitialising.. especially on the 5m charts?!
Do you have separate charts open for H4 and 5m or do you change from one to the other?
Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks Tommaso. Yes I've read and re-read what Bob has written... I hadn't realised he was still using the very first version though. I don't have that one anymore as replaced the earlier ones with updated versions. The earliest i have now is 15.06 and I thought that may have been what Bob was using. So, do you mean I need a version before 15.06?
Appreciate your continued responses, know it must be tiring, but it can get confusing when trying to keep up with what appears to be improvements!
Kind thanks... :good:

no 15.06 does a very good job... just do not overthink all and you will see how easy it is.. ;)
