What we have done here guys is take a perfectly good and well-working piece of software and fixed it until it broke. I have no intention of trying to fix it any further; I would go nuts trying to do so. I will rewrite HGB; this will take time as I need to plan for all the different strategies that have emerged since his original inception. I also want to try to plan the code a bit better. For now, accept that we have broken HGB and abandon him.  |

Great stuff. Too many options will kill this EA, again..! I agree with you, let's keep it simple and tweak and experiment from there without altering the code further but experimenting with different parameters, SL's, TP's, timeframes, etc. Diego

Steve, I just want to say thank you for all the work you have put into this EA.  I'm sooo pleased to know you haven't given up on it  because I'm having some degree of success with it (Not so much that I would go live with it yet) but enough to have confidence that to pursue testing all the various options that are available in it will not be a wast of time. I don't have a lot to say on this forum for fear of making a dick of myself  (That's a good thing) but I'm always lurking and testing and one of these days I hope I will have something of value to contribute as so many here do.Again, thank you. It's important to me to make sure you understand that I am grateful. Pat. |

We have not had to talk about LUC lately. For those of you new to all of this, LUC stands for the Law of Unintended Consequences. In badly constructed code here is what happens: a change here leads to the need for a change there, which leads to the need for changes there, there and there. The cascade of thingies that need fixing quickly becomes unmanageable. We used to talk about LUC inviting his buddies around for anything from morning coffee to the blinding bender of the decade. We haven't talked about LUC for a while because my coding has improved, thanks to the influence of some seriously Proper Programmers. I am still an amateur. The likes of Baluda doubtless view my coding with the same kind indulgence I show towards amateur pianists. They are amateurs, so it would not be kind of me to tell them what I really think of the way they just massacred Fur Elise; kind suggestions for improvements are the order of the day. I am getting better at structuring my code, and at creating reusable code, but never ever confuse me with the likes of Baluda, Tommaso, Elixe, Squalou et al. This is why I have decided to start again rather than try to fix the spaghetti that HGB has become. spgandau has been working on fixing stuff and has sent me a massive document detailing all his fixes for various thingies - many thanks for trying spg. I still reckon I am going to better off starting again. |

I am using the default settings of this EA. why no trade so far.But indi shows a lot trade signals. |

Just to let you know guys, that I have started re-coding HGB. It turns out that I did not need to start again completely from scratch - just needed to sort out some confusion about wavy lines hanging over from the early days of HGB's inception. The new version is sacrificing flexibility for simplicity, so less to go wrong. More soon. |
