Different broker feeds, different signals. Anyway, GJ and EJ shorts should have given you a head start for the day. |

This is an answer from Gertje regarding how he trades the D1. As you can see he enters on wavy lines not just trend arrows. After all as other people said it is a trend method so when you get the change in trend from a wavy you don't have to wait for the confirmation of a trend arrow to get in. Anyway hope it helps:

Hi, I get different Signals from different Empty4 instances which started at the same time. The last three waves (actually four, one double blue wave) as seen in the GP 01 image are 'unrefreshed' live data and differ from the other picture. But also in the 'refreshed' history the signals differ. Sometimes you can big arrows, somtimes just small ones. Sometimes waves occur, somtimes not. This leads to inconsistent results of course. I have no idea what causes this. I tested it with Global Prime and a FXPro Demo accounts, same thing on both brokers. My first assumption is that it is that demo price feeds are crap. But on the other hand I don't see why the data stream from two Empty4 instances using the same broker should differ. I don't have a live account at the moment. Anyone having the same thing on a live account? Kind regards |

Ok some food for thought. First I need to say that I open and close my charts so some signals from yesterday might be gone. I entered a trade on the UJ and stacked a bit. It was going good for the whole day and was close to 119.000 where I had my TP. I know some prefer to leave it without TP and just get out when there is a reverse signal but anyway. Now below you can see the yellow arrow where I made my entry, I went to sleep and today woke up to find the UJ way down. I don't know if there were signals that I missed but the point is what would you do in this case: Leave the trade be and wait for the next signal or close it down? The problem here is that because I closed my charts maybe I missed a reversal of the trend. I can see the rad arrows are still there on top of the high and after that there is no other signal so what would you do? |

I see it this way, if there were reversal signals that were "missed" because you were sleeping, they would still be on the charts when you refreshed the indie / charts by opening them, not so? So, I would have left the trade alone, especially seeing as it is looking like it is just testing support at the point where a pin bar would have formed on a higher time frame (to the left at around 12am / 4am on the 13/01/2015)...As well as the fact that the most recent price action / pin bar seems to have found support at the point where HGI said to take a RAD trade up after the trend change was indicated... As an aside, Bob has mentioned that he would place his SL (should he decide to use one) at the opposite end of the signal arrow...however, you did stack trades with no RAD signal given by the indicator (as far as I can see), so this trouble could be of your own making? Does that make sense or have I blabbed on again? :youknow: H |

Cherry, If you question every signal, there's no point in using HGI. Just go with the flow, and of course take notice of S/R areas etc. I started using HGI on the D1 this week, and set for myself the rules that I already wrote here somewhere. Basically I take all blue waves, trend- and rad-signals [pending] and close at the yellow wave. I noticed that at the new candle, sometimes a trend-arrow forms on yesterday's candle. If this happens, I still take the trade [roll-over is @ 23h00 for me]. The EURJPY down trend-arrow last night came at 24h00 my time, I took it this morning after breakfast. . |

It actually does make a lot of sense... Obviously except from the signals that are generated you need to use common fundamental and technical skills like S/R etc. From the very short experience I have had with HGI I can say that maybe its better to avoid restarting as much as you can. Not because you will miss signals but because like me you will get confused at whats going on at some point. Restarting gives an optimistic view so maybe its better to avoid it... |

I was in the same trade yesterday but on H1. I exited shortly after price was bumping on 118.800 twice and since it was bed time I couldn't manage the trade properly anymore. If there had been a reasonable BE for me I would have let it run. From my (still noobish) perspective I would look at the price action. Currently there is a pinbar at S / R. Before price stopped after a two legged move between Fib-R at 61.8 lvl and also on spot at Fib-E 100. Also last major move this month was down. I would look now on a smaller TF (H1) and see if a candle closes distinctly below / above current mini S / R and what HGI signals I might get here and make my decision based on that. |

Gertje, if I may trouble you... In my version of the indicator, the wavies are both the same colour...which buffer do I change to blue to signal an entry and which one do I leave as yellow to signal an exit? Thanks H |

Valuable input I was way into the profit yesterday before going to bed. It was testing 118.800 as you said but I am demoing HGI so its better that I left it open and had to sustain a big loss. Better to learn the hard way now than later... Now I got the yellow wavy on my chart (H4) and following the rules I closed the trades. If I had entered the trade last week back when the blue wavy appeared it would have netter a good profit... |
