If some EAs are not working check the True False box on ECN and change it to see what happens.

Bob,
I've going good with your system, but I would a little issue with the jumping EAs. The problem is my crim doesn't allow me to place SL closer to the market price than 10 pips. When the jumping EAs would place the stop closer than 10 pips, then it always gave me an invalid stop loss error. Would it be possible to use hidden jumping SL on these EAs? So my crim would not know that I trying to protect my profit with a tightening SL. There would be the initial 18 pip SL what my crim see, and then there would be a hidden jumping SL that only exist in the EA on my computer. I don't mind if I have to put this EA on the individual pairs' chart, if it's impossible to make this as a global EA that manages all my trades.

@monty
Please replace the indi "10.2 TMA SLOPE NORM" with the files that are attached. They are the source and compiled versions of the indicator.

@nanningbob
Would you be so kind as to replace this attached indicator in post #1. The only changes made to it were to make sure that the window referenced in the WindowFind routine in the ObjectCreate statment matched the 'shortname' for the indicator. It's been tested.

pips400 wrote:Hi Gang, thought I'd let you all know how I got on today. I was up early to get my EAs in place before the London open. I've got 27 pairs in my profile so went through all of them and place the Buy/Sell DP.DO EA where I liked the setup and colour bars were good to go. Where I didn't like the look of some charts even though the bars were in agreement I didn't place an EA. For example if the long term picture looked more like ranging than trending then I left it alone.

I traded Demo on 0.01 std lot size and made six out of six winning trades, making a total of $16.92 :D If only I had traded on live for me that would have equated to around $85 for a couple of hours work. But I'm in this for the long haul, so am more interested in getting the system working for me. I did have to manage the trades manually, as for some reason, the Jump EAs didn't work and I'm not sure why, so I spent the last few hours coding my own EA which combines everything together in 1 with a couple of mods according to my own prerferences, i.e. I've set the profit target to DR1 for buys, and SR1 for sells, and only trade between certain hours, so I can leave it on overnight and fingers crossed should catch those early trades I missed before.

Hello Mike,
I hope you will share this EA of yours with us the Gang, we might show you a thing or two that you didn't even know your EA was capable of doing.
:)

Happy Trading,
xrismak ;)

Thanks xrismak,

to tell you the truth I'm totally intimated by the expertise on this forum especially as a noob (but in a past life I was a database programmer and web developer) , and would hate to post an EA that may cause someone to loose money. I use FxDreema to code all my EAs as I find the interface intuitive and I haven't yet taken the time to learn source MQL4. I'll make this promise, if the EA has been helpful over the next couple of days, I'll post the mq4 and ex4 files. I've got a couple of additions to add including following Bobs advice about when the best trade times are for various pairs, so the EA will handle this automatically. The EA includes all the 10.3 rules, as well as adding the initial SL and TP, jumping trailing stop etc. :D

Hello Baluda (Paul),

Thanks for the 10.3 Dashboard. That indicator looks great, just like all your other works. One question though: Can it be used on any timeframe, or is it restricted to one timeframe by default? I ran through the different timeframes quickly, but the color of the flags (backgrounds) did not change.

Frank,

Both 10.2a and 10.3 are based on pivots, therefore the indicator can be used on any timeframe.

Post subject:  Re: 10.3 SCALPER/RANGE TRADE SYSTEM

Hello, my thanks to Bob. I have to confess, I am rather confused. Reading the description of 10.3 SELL DO with MA filter and looking what happened on the charts I do not get things together. Could it be that DO/DP got mixed up?
Here the description of the EA:
"The 10.3 BUY/SELL DO with MA filter or Daily Open EA with a MA filter. In the EA the 1MA median from the 15M must be above the Daily open line before it will open a trade. In other words you can put the EA on at any time and it won’t open a trade until price goes above the DO open line far enough to make the median of the high/low of a 15M candle go above the daily open line for a sell to take place. When that median line goes above the DO line and price then goes below the DO line the EA will enter a sell trade."
Now look at the picture: I attach H1 and M15:
DP 0.9879 (green line)
DO 0.9860 (white line)
Sell@0.98798 (above DP) about 30 Min. after I dropped the EA
I checked the 1MA median and it is above DP at the moment of the sell trade.
So my description of the EA based on the charts would be:
"The 10.3 BUY/SELL DO with MA filter or Daily Open EA with a MA filter. In the EA the 1MA median from the 15M must be above the Daily Pivot line before it will open a sell-trade. In other words you can put the EA on at any time and it won’t open a trade until price goes above the DP line far enough to make the median of the high/low of a 15M candle go above the Daily Pivot line for a sell to take place. When that median line goes above the DP line and price then goes below the DP line the EA will enter a sell trade."
Now what is the EA suposed to do?
- If it's the description in the booklet, I do not understand what happens on the charts.
- If it's the behaviour on the charts, well ???
Thanks for your patience, Mike

Dear Bob,
First off thank you very much for providing us with 10.3 - best new year's gift ever. Been following your systems back on the Forexfactory days and must admit 10.3 is the simplest and clearest yet!
I have been studying the booklet in some detail before I start experimenting with the system and have a quick question on the 10.3 JAN 2013 BOOKLET A

Page 10...
"HOT PINK means daily pivot (DP) is below weekly pivot (WP) but price (P) is between the DP and WP.
• This indicates a 10.2a sell setup in which you want to enter when price crosses back into the downtrend by crossing the weekly pivot. When price crosses the daily pivot the bar will turn maroon and indicate a downtrend is now in effect."

Should this not read "...when price crosses back into the downtrend by crossing the daily pivot" instead? My understanding is at this point Price is between DP and WP and since WP is above DP, the price crossing the WP (upwards) is more likely to indicate a trend reversal?

Similarly for the "LIME GREEN" definitions?

Best regards,
George
