Andy, this bot use so huge system resource that my VPS service had been disabled by administrator. Could you modify the code to decrease resource usage?

yes i have adaptive set at 50pips adaptive sl set at 0 with adaptive set to true. other options like basket etc. is set to false.i also have AnotherTM = false; but it doesnt close the baskets.

but somehow the adaptive setting does not work in v1.02, it is also not working in alpari uk live n demo acct.
in v1.01b , i had the same settings and many baskets closed when adapt tp 50 was hit so i know it works in v1.01b.

yeah i see that the ea has done really well indeed, cos we had a very nice breakout that is with the trend after the consolidation, so the one that had the follow trend option turned off did superbly whilst the one with followtrend turned on missed alot of great trades...a pity.

so i guess u are right, we should not be looking to minimize the trades taken by the ea cos i think probably half the trades will turn out to be gems, we shld try to minimize the loss, by using the previous candle as the stop, maybe setting the stop at 10 or 15 pips behind the previous candle. i think this is a very logical way to set the stoplosses. looking forward to trying the version with the tightened stops.

Hi Joe,

Have you changed the MagicNo?

The code is the same in both versions, I haven't changed anything, I'll have a look if I can find anything.

Hello Andy,

rergarding the magic no, i used the default 999. its really pretty weird cos i have a few demos running v1.01b n all closed out at 50pips adaptive tp on multiple occasions, but for v1.02, i also have demos n live accts but none closed out at adapt tp50. also there were no error msgs at all.

Ok, I'll run it with adaptive pips and try find the problem.

Thanks

Hello Andy,

great news indeed! appreciated! has your tests with the tightened stops version been running well?
from all my demos, i have seen that setting adap tp of 50 is pretty safe cos it typically ranges from 50-70, so if we can reduce the stops to about 30-40, then most of the time the baskets shld be profitable.
