My comment yesterday that ITM was working fine appears only to be the case on demo. I have tried to place 1 or 2 pending orders on my live account and ITM immediately deletes them. Broker is Cowboy Go Markets & PipsHiddenFromCriminal is 0.

Very strange, but appears to be a broker issue??

Just had a trade triggered on my live account & have now attached ITM, which appears to be working now. Weird how it doesn't like pending orders!

Yes I have the same issue with pending orders being deleted.

I just downloaded a global prime demo to see if it is just Cowboy Go Markets but unfortunately had the same thing! Pipshiddenfrom Crim 0 and any open trade stays, put any value >0 and any open trades are closed out...so it looks like it is not just Cowboy Go Markets.
So is the ITM on your live account now working with PipshiddenfromCrim >0 ?

No my ITM is still PipshiddenfromCriminal 0

It manages the live trades, but as soon as another pending order is added (and it doesn't matter if the order is added manually or with the script), ITM closes it, which is a shame as I'd like to be able to rely on it to move BE and close out for me.

Did you check the 'trade currencies twice', 'negative swap'and 'equity' filters?
I have them all set to 'false'.
In fact, I put everything to false except the moving of the SL of the pending and the closing at colour change.

Have the ITM on all the charts, with no problem.

Need to find out if BE=false will keep the trades open if the blue line is breached. GBPNZD almost did that within 1 pip a while ago and went south again...

Do you have a value > 0 in 'pipshiddenfromcriminal'?

Okay so must be that my computer, somehow is doing something different!
Everything (and I mean everything) has been turned off infact the word 'true' does not appear on the EA.
The only thing I have a positve value in is the 'pipshiddenfromcrim' and any open trade will close out any open trade over and over again....change 'pipshiddenfromcrim' to 0 and everything is fine.

attached is a .set file that has all my 'off' setting for the EA.

Could someone please be kind enough to load the ITM with this set file (on a demo account) and see what happens. For me an open trade will be closed out after a few seconds...

Copied from the uug, but the formatting is lost so you might be better of just downloading it and reading the margin checks section:

Margin checks
These help avoid over-trading by limiting the number of trades that can be opened. ITM will calculate whether there is sufficient margin to allow further trading. If not, it will delete outstanding pendings. There are two to chose from; the default indicates my preference.

Scoobs check: scooby-doo is a former pro trader with the big banks; we have benefited hugely from his advice. This filter compares the current account margin with the free margin divided by 100, and aborts the trade if the margin is greater than the result of this calculation.
ForexKiwi check.ForexKiwi contributed this filter. It looks at the margin percent figure and aborts the trade if yours is less than the figure you specify in :
FkInitialTradeMMp: this is your minimum margin percent if you do not already have a trade open for the pair – default 1100.
FkOpenPositionMMp: if you have a trade open, then it will be nicely in profit by the time a second one opens and ITM will move the overall stop to breakeven. This means it is safe to open a trade with much less available margin – hence the much lower default of 500.

Thanks for the update, Steve. I really like the FkOpenPosition MMp. Some day I hope to be smarter than an EA, but I'm not holding by breath.

FYI - I dragged the new ITM onto a chart that had three open trades. Two were negative $$ and one was positive. Overall, the chart was in the hole. Normally, when trying out a new EA, I check the "Ask Manual Confirmation" box, but this time I forgot to do that.

When I dragged ITM onto the chart, I got the error message: InsertTakeProfit(): Take Profit>market, so tp cannot be inserted. - Fair enough.

Then it closed all three trades!

So, it seems to be absolutely imperative that your pair be in profit before loading ITM. I will make a note at the top of my copy of the User Guide.

I am not entirely sure which bit of "10.4 Individual Trade Management" in the title of this EA is causing some people so much difficulty.

ITM does not manage trades sent via other systems.

ITM does not manage trades sent via the user's fevered imaginings, wildest dreams, most lurid nightmares etc.

It manages 10.4 trades AS SENT USING 10.4. 10.4 DEMANDS THAT SECOND TRADES ARE ONLY SENT WHEN THE FIRST ONE IS IN BLOODY PROFIT.

For fuck's sake, which bit of this has eluded you? Come on Sam, there are not all that many two-syllable words here. How the blue blazes did you come to have two trades in loss using 10.4? And what then possessed you to think, "Ah. I know. Let's drag ITM onto the chart and see if it can sort out my mess?" Or maybe I have misunderstood, and that actually trades can be fired off at random whenever the so-called trader thinks, "Oooo. Let's send a trade now 'cos I feel lucky"?

I am not entirely sure why anyone using ITM in a way in which it was not intended to be used, is surprised when it then bites them on the bum. Most ea's do that when being used for purposes for which they are not intended. Have you really not noticed this in the past?

Or, to put it with a level of clarity that people here appear to need: only a cretin using ITM in a way in which it was not intended to be used, and is then surprised when it then bites them on the bum.

Guys, you can either use ITM to manage trades as it is intended to manage them, or you can sit helplessly by as it chews up your trades because you are too dense to RTFM. In case of doubt, RTFM is shorthand for Read The Fucking Manual.

Listen up people.

10.4 ITM is coded to work with trades sent using Bob's ACTUAL TRADING SYSTEM. It is not coded to work with some moronic offshoot you have chosen to come up with for yourself. Sorry if I have not previously made this abundantly clear; I always assumed the clue was in the ea title.

So, if you are trading 10.4 as originally intended, then you can use ITM. If you are not, then you cannot.

Capiche? Or do I need to make myself a tad clearer? After all, I have used the occasional two-syllable word in this response. Sorry about that. I can be blunt and say what I actually mean if you need me to.
