Dave I like and use your histo crossover. It's great to have the W1 on the D1 chart. I do still have the old arrows on my W1 as well, as the visual on the actual chart is also good.

John thanks for the reminder about the strength of signals. It's something we should keep in mind but perhaps a bit harder for Shelley to make rules for that can be automated.
Your comment "On this occasion we were entering at the cross and that in itself is dangerous." Were you referring to the cross of 1 and 20? If so how do we know we're entering on the cross if the lines are not on the chart and we only get an arrow? Sorry, maybe a stupid question but I'm asking anyway!

Perhaps a little more discussion in this thread when a signal happens that is not 'strong' will enable us all to make better decisions?

I also find it a bit odd that I provided an indicator that doesn't repaint (as there is no reason once a week is over that it should) but no-one seems to be using it and people are still concerned about repainting arrows.

As anyone can tell I like the no repaint. When I look at history I like to look at what really happened not a recreation. But John and Shelly seem to think that repaint is no big deal and John goes to great lengths to explain why. I would prefer no repaint but since it is on the weekly it probably does not matter much in the long run. This is minor issue. It is a good thing that a minor issue is the major problem we have. I think we are all trying to get to the same place and will if we work together.

I didn't get a chance to post the trades I took this morning, but just checked in from work and I'm up just over 2000 pips, thanks to the NZD crashing. I''ve managed to log onto my PC with team viewer and locked in as much as I could (in accordance with the rules).

Once again I took what I thought was the cautious approach... and waited to see if there would be a pullback on AUDNZD, also most others... so totally left out again.
Especially after John's comment about Monday opens...
Yes closed AN when I realised it was going up.

I only wish the EA had done the same thing but for some reason it didn't more bugs to hunt down, it closed OK but then didn't open a new trade with all the rules met, I can only think that when it checked for a new trade the old one was still open so did nothing and I was just thinking of using it live as well

Why don't you trade 2 demo's...trade 1 the way you are comfortable with trading and trade the 2nd strictly by the rules. This gives you an opportunity to gain some confidence in the signals and system. Compare the results of both, and perhaps you might be able to amalgamate both methods into something you may take live. At the end of the day, it is a demo but ultimately our goal should be able to come up with a system that we have enough confidence in to take live.

Hi Shelley,

Really like this system as the longer time frames work well for me, thanks for sharing it with us.

Are you using MPTM to manage your open orders? If so could you post a set file that you are using as I am struggling to set it up correctly. The jumping stop seems to be moving the SL to early and I am not sure what I am doing wrong!
