Results for today; H1 demo left open over weekend +128 pips (26 pairs) H1 life, started fridaynight late +231 pips (20 pars, no CHF due to marginrequirements) It's been a slow day, still looking good. |

nice results gertje are you trading ootb? my m30 demo has made about 95 pips, currently 250 pip drawdown, h1 demo is minus 40 pips with 280 pip drawdown . GP demo , virtually ootb apart from kiwi off and 0.1 lots . trading since market open yesterday eve

More or less, yes. Changed SL and TP to 500 to avoid eather one kicking in. Started à M30 demo this afternoon, just to check it out. |

From Monday trading: my H1trial trading both ways is about 140 pips in DD overall, was 370 pips up at one stage. H4 trial trend only trading is slightly in DD overall. SB apparently not liking a quiet market and staggering PA. We need a benevolent forex God to shift SB between TF's at all the right times to be in tune with the waves man. If the God could turn CT trading off and on at all the right times that would be nice too. Food for thought and visual backtesting. Looking forward to seeing the week unfold with this. |

Attached is V 1e.1 of the experimental version. All it does is convert the trade comment to trend trading if you are using Bob's H4 M240 trend filter to enforce trading only in the direction of the overall trend, rather than simply in the direction of the chart tf moving average.  |

I'm puzzled, since the EA uses the indi as a trigger...... So if there's something wrong with the MA, it's the indi and not the EA. I noticed some big red arrows above, and some big green arrows below the 240MA, but the PA was at the correct side of the 240 at the moment they popped. Unless we're talking about two different MA's, then I'm even more puzzled......  |

Thanks Cal. Yep, saw it and forgot it. The inputs were correct on the version I am running, so no idea what Bob did. It really doesn't matter whom the poster is; fact is I cannot help it if people do not check their own settings. I would have thought that doing so would be the first thingy a user would do. Guess how I know that failing to do so is a bad idea. Yep. The thoughts going through your head right now are absolutely dead correct.  Guys, I have to check my own inputs even though I coded the ea. Granted, I tend to change them in code so I do not have to think about them again, but I do have to check them first time around. Anybody else here think that running an EA ootb is still a good idea? Let me know and I will send you some pills. |

Yes. We are. We are talking about Bob's H4 240 MA trend filter that ships with all my EA's and which was hidden from users in SB. I am starting to seriously regret re-introducing it. I will remove it if it continues to cause me hassle. |

While still about 5 hours short of the first 24 hours period of SB live.. Live Results - actual real money account: Approximately +1.01% gain, with current floating DD of about -2.5% on 24 pairs. I have re-adjusted the actual pairs used to reflect the top 20 highest volatility for the last 4 weeks. Settings: I am seeking to balance reward with risk, but spread across multiple pairs for diversification vs lower number of pairs and increasing the lot size. Will monitor and make adjustments as needed. It is possible I may drop down to the top 10 highest volatility over previous 4 week period. Obviously these pairs can change as volatility averages change. Note: I was just made aware of the new ADR dashboard (great work there) and will review for possible use as filter for pairs to be traded on more recent price action vs longer period of 4 weeks or 10 weeks, etc. Settings: I am using 400 TP/400 ST; [I am not using the H4 240 ma as a filter, however, as I prefer to trade in direction of primary cycle, I may switch this on. Accordingly, I may consider adjusting the risk/reward lot size due to the lower number of potential trades provided that the trades made show higher average pip gain per trade when using the 240 H4 filter. ] ForexKiwi true, 300; (I may boost this back up to 350).
