Bill, drag a Stochastic onto a chart and press Ctrl+D to call up the Data Window. Hover the mouse over a chart and you will see some values displayed in the data window:

Indi buffers are counted from zero upwards, so the Stoch main (blue) line is the upper of the two. This value is held in buffer 0. Buffer 1 holds the value of the signal line - helpfully displayed as, "Signal". Not all indicators are so helpful.

Drag other indi's onto your chart and you will see their associated buffers and the values they contain appearing in your Data Window.

Members will need to understand these basics if we are to use the ever more revolutionary software heading our way.

Thomas, my understanding of UBD stops there and might explain the lack of other contributions here. I wanted to post a set file for Bill to show how to set thingies up but found I have no idea how to tell UBD to read Stochastic.

Perhaps you could post a, "Setting up UBD for dummies" guide?

Hi Thomas,

I have another indicator with good rating but need to have BaludaSuperSlope and Stoch color mtf indicators as filters. Basically it is the cross-over of ROC's zero line for buy & sell. See the green vertical line for buy (must agree with BaludaSS and Stoch color mtf white line). The reverse for sell. You can share it in the newly thread just created. Please also created a shift for this indicator.

Also attached charts with additon of i-bandsprice & HMA histogram indi just for comparision.

Hi @all.

Now, that we have UBD and USD and thus universal drones for 95% of the indicators, let's turn the attention to the more exotic ones (in terms of coding). Next objective is UOD (Universal Objects Drone).

Can you provide me with indicators that don't use buffers, but draw graphical objects? Like:

* drawing arrow objects
* drawing text labels with Wingdings symbols
* drawing vertical lines to colorize the chart background

Your tools for checking are the data window (Ctrl-D) and the objects window (Ctrl-B).

It draws automatic trendlines and has objects but no buffers.
