Bob's filter (bob-moving-average) is included in your EA or we must have it present in our indicator file of our trading platform? And if so where is this indicator. Not found. On the other hand I reread HGI and the pdf of the time: Bob's filter, for me, is simply two moving averages on H4 (MA 240 and 60?). Celte83, I looked for that same information and couldn't find it. That was a couple of weeks ago. I learned that you don't need the indi on the chart. I like to sometimes watch and plot my trades afterward. On a one-hour chart, you can set up Bobs MA by using 960 instead of 240/4Hr. That way you see all your trades and how they occurred on a H1 chart. As others have noted, in earlier versions I saw some trades that broke the rules. I haven't seen that for the last week or so; though I haven't been looking as closely. Enjoy this EA from Steve- It KICK'S ASS!

Hi fellows, To understand the basic principle and some more ideas from a moron. It reminds me a bit of the principle of a FF strategy called "Magic 100". In H1, for example, if the trend is long (green). If the previous candle is green, in the trend, we take the trade at the open of the new candle. Possibly why not at previous High (idea from Magic 100's strategy). Or previous high + gap of 3 pips (for example) If the previous candle is red, we place a buy stop at the previous high. Possibly previous high + gap of 3 pips (for example). And if necessary we move this Buy Stop from candle to candle until it is hit. Or that the trend changes. Or basket TP. And this on a basket with a very very short TP. Scalping :youknow: Bonne journée à tous jf

I am still having trades open against the previous candle on completely different platforms! Did anyone else get a USDCAD sell, AUDNZD buy? Don't know what is causing it to be honest..

Celte, I can appreciate your enthusiasm as I've been at this in a similar way for about 15 years. I'm hooked on this stuff and after all this time, I've not made one dime trading FX. Oh, I've made a lot, but then watched it disappear shortly after. I think dissecting the open is pointless personally. Steve has already done that! The opening strategy is brilliant because it's allowing the market to decide our trades for us... Think about that for a minute. The fundamentals about why this works the way it does are blatantly obvious. I have seen way too many promising EA's end up in the dust bin because of many changes and re-writes. If you want to dig into this and tweak it, I would agree that there is room for extending the TP; but that would need to be done on a pair-by-pair basis. I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned just how low the DD/open float is on this puppy! (it is remarkable) Now, there is room for exploitation! This reminds me of an old saying that my Dad shared with me: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
