Had a nice trade today. BJS added 2% to my demo. Actually it was told to do so and did so!!

Hi I did manage to get BJS to trade by stop/start 'Expert Advisor' or change time frames. It is obviously not refreshing correctly yet. Will investigate. |

Lifesys, I think you need to set "EndlessLoop = false" because some versions of Empty4 don't seem to work well with the loop code. It should then refresh every minute or so. |

I didn't have any trades but I think tx413 has the right idea. I set EndlessLoop = false -- let's see if it enters trades now. |

Thank YOU Jem (and I ALWAYS thankful to BOB). You know, I find manual trading is something. You think one way but when you follow the rules, suddenly the system make you a whole lota pips. Really amazing. |

With SlopeTimeFrame at 1440, PivotCrossTF at 240, EnforceTripleAlignment at True, SlopeThresholds at 0.6, 70% Basket threshold, I have had 2 trades both last Friday since the start of last week. Both were profitable, and it looks like it is refreshing happily enough. For those who have seen more trades than this, what settings are you using please?? |

I am getting BJS set up and it looks like it is heading in the right direction. What an exciting time to be a member of this classy forum! Steve and all, you are incredible. Thank you. Here is a hint for you guys and gals that can't seem to get an EA, especially like this one, to take trades. Set up the inputs to be as loose as possible, so to guarantee trade action. This will reduce the amount of time you are sitting staring at the screen waiting for something to happen. For instance, on BJS try setting MinimumPercentOfBasket to a real low number like 25. You will start generating trades faster to verify operation. You can also set SlopeBuyLevel to some lower number. I am using 0.5 as I demo the EA. You could probably even set it to 0.10 Then, monitor the accelerated trades and check the operation. After you are happy that things are working right, you would then adjust the inputs to match the actual trading method. That is what the demo mode is all about. I hope this helps someone. Sam |

Okay... Trying again to get BJS (how ironic...that's my initials  ) to work for me. I've set the inputs as loose as I can figure and here's the expert tab readouts I'm getting. Does this make sense to anyone. Thanks... |

Good points Sam, but I don't think that's going to help me. I have AllowAdditionsToBasket=true, so the MinimumPercentOfBasket is effectively 0. I have 8 pairs set up (so the SlopeBuyLevel is OK). My trouble is that all the pairs are sitting at "Daily pivot cross = untradable." They're all waiting for daily pivot crosses, and they have been almost since I started testing this last week. I got 2 trades on 6 July when I was first getting it set up (but with different inputs), but I haven't seen any trades since then. |
