So where am I with White Box on the demo account. Well so far up 102 pips. Three trades still trading and one of them positive and the other two I predict can get positive if the Dollar strengthens just a little which it will.

Account Statement attached.

One thing I am almost certain of is that the feeds of Criminal Demo accounts are more kind to Bots than their Live accounts so I am not too overly excited about the amount of trades white box is getting on the Demo account but more interested in their success. Probably will not see as many with out some tweaking.

My tally for the week - 4 WB trades, all winners, total of just over 200 pips. Max drawdown was about half of that at one point. Promising so far! :P

Six trades and 190.5 pips and all trades closed now. No pending trades presently.

I never thought to test it on any other time period so I went back in the tester and looked at all the time periods 15 minutes through the Daily and it was profitable on every time period with the Four Hour being the most profitable. It traded more on EURUSD 4 hour period but had a few losses. However the profit was higher. Tried it on the 4 hour period with GBPJPY and it closed on stop a big DD loss at the end but was still a winner over all. Starting to think this could be a real nice little Bot right out of the Box pardon the pun. :lol:

Closing it down for the weekend with no pending trades.

Edit -- Went ahead and tested on the 5 minute and it had all winners there and a nice profit. Very resilient in testing. So far just as good on the hourly time period as in testing but with it trading more frequently than I would have thought possible.

I'll pop this onto a demo and play with it. Beast with a slope, sounds interesting. I'm with a US broker, so I can't hedge.

I would like to point out, that every trade is simultaneously a trend trade, and a retracement trade at the very moment it is entered. Every tick is a regression toward some mean, and an excursion away from another. While I do agree that the Beast is a good stand alone EA, even Steve has pointed out the biggest drawback in counter trend trading...the dreaded draw down. Seperating the White Box trades and applying Slope seems to make sense. Even if it turns out not to be the Grail, it does seem worth pursuing.
