Hi,

just checked my closed trades and I've got the same issue as Snowy (although in my case I closing 1/3 at 30, 2/3 at 60)

The fact that Steve's working would suggest a boo boo on my part... but at least I've got company

Paul.

Yes, and mine is a live, real-money trading account, so I would be taking notice were it happening to me.

Not the point I know, but look on the bright side. My +100 trades rarely reach +150; mostly they retrace and take out the stop. By closing immediately yours are not:
  • Costing swap. Ok, so they do not gain positive swap either, but that is rarer than hens' teeth these days.
  • using up margin.
  • blocking off potentially profitable trades on other pairs that would fall foul of the balance filters.

hi steve,

never said, it's a "bad bug". if i reach a winner with 100 pips, i'am very satisfied! :)
actually i was thinking about adding a tight trailing stop after reaching +100 pips or something like that, before being stopped out by a retracement. but with this bug i don't have to think about that. ;)

i just wanted to let know about this, because it's not strictly the original rule.

btw i'am trading this live, too. but via trade copier from the demo to live.

Hi,
Are you guys strictly using the daily time frame for this ea?
Thanks,
Paul

Not entirely sure which bit of:
Trade exit
There are the usual take profit and stop loss inputs. The trade also closes if not at breakeven and Stoch Main crosses the Signal in the wrong direction.

has escaped your attention after Shelley repeated it. You could always try reading post 1 properly. Usually a good start when reading a thread about a trading system that a number of people are trading live - me, for example. Shelley, for example. Or maybe you think that our hard-won experience and relative expertise should somehow be implanted into your brain by osmosis.

Be warned that I am not a fan of people who are too lazy and thick to read post 1 properly in any thread - especially one which I start and therefore have to read whenever the lazy and dimwitted post is such a way that proves conclusively that they have not read post 1 properly. Ask around if unsure how I will react.

A few two-syllable words in that last para, granted, but learn to cope with them, ok?

And then learn to read.[/quote]

Steve,
I am not trying to annoy or disrespect anyone. I've read post 1 a few times and this really escaped.... Sorry if I am asking stupid questions, will try not to, but you are the people with the experience, so I am asking you.
I respect your work, thank you for sharing it and thank you for the explanation provided.
Best Regards,
Plamen

thank you SWG123
understood this is not the problem

Hehe. It isn't a bug (cue Gary, George, Paul et al to step up and prove conclusively that it is), but something at your end.

Assuming the Proper Coders here do step forward with evidence that I have been an idiot, again, and provide a fix, then mptm probably has the ability to add a stop once the profit reaches a certain level. Not sure, because I coded the basic functions a long time ago and do not remember how they work, but it might be worth looking into.

Ok guys. Here is a real cracker for you.

My um, trading-organisation( ) is Cowboy IBFX Aussie. Now, I run a live account for a much-loved former student using the same um, trading-organisation.

At the start of the new candle, both our bots obediently took the UCad sell.

I freaked briefly when I saw my chart. Look at Stoch:

The trades triggered at the same time. His and my account use the same template per chart. Look at his Stoch:

These cowboys are taking the Mickey.

Anybody else still happy to believe what they see on a chart?

:D

Subsequent edit: read down the next couple of posts for a laugh at my expense.

Oops. Seems I am too thick to read my own chart symbols. I have edited the post but left it in place so everyone can have a laugh at me.

Hey ho.
