Mine also is trading and while was doing very well from Oct through to middle of November, seems to be loosing all its gains now. |

Hi chaps! I'm just having a dabble with that protrader / algostudio software. I'm trying to see if Marilyn will backtest on there, but it doesn't want to place any trades. Just wondering if there is a parameter that needs to be adjusted when backtesting? Or does any of the code need to be tweaked for it to work? I can see the fractal filter is changing (I'm not using this for signals) but there are no actual buy or sell signals for some reason? This is on gbp / usd and eur/usd for a years worth of backtest data. The timeframe is daily and the historical data (modelling scheme) is 1M - O H M L C, as I can't seem to get it to get it to work at all with tick data as it doesn't download it. Cheers! Jon. |

If you want to use tick data in Protrader you can either use Tickstory to download from Dukascopy and export to a CSV file, or download the CSV files from TrueFX. Then the files can be imported into Protrader. I haven't tried it with Marylin, but it certainly works for others I have been testing. Best continue this discussion in the Protrader thread if you want to discuss it further. |

When I run backtest on EU it stops after 1989. All other pairs that only have from 2001 wont show any results. Probably posted somewhere, so if anyone know the page  cheerio |

as each month, I have downloaded M1 data from ForexTester, and done forward test with data never seen before by my software : result = +58% if an account was started on 28.10.2013. Please find Profit / Equity / Margin used graph. cheers Philippe |

Hi Philippe, is that all trades which would have been taken from 28.10.2013? I am asking because I had it running and few eurjpy trades were taken too. If it isn`t all of the trades, would you be able to export them all let`s say to excel so I would be able to confront it with my own data? thanks very much for sharing this very nice system. |
