Empty4 eventually crashed and I was unable to restart it without getting that endless alert. I deleted all orders but I cannot get rid of that recurring alert. Have to reload...
Using final build I woke up this morning with this same persistent popup error on (2) demos on AUDJPY and AUDNZD. They are mostly OOTB except "UseSR2" instead of SR1 and "AutoSymbols=true". One demo is with CSS on and the other off. I had to close the platforms. Unfortunately, when i restart them the error comes right back persistently making the platforms unusable. If more info is needed to troubleshoot PM me. Using Empty4 build 500.

Hi,

Revert back to the previous version if you are having problems.

I started new final version. With setting changed to "show display TRUE".
I get non stop alarm (see picture).
I restarted and reinstalled ea, alarm don't stop.
Finally when I switched display to False alarm stopped.
Please let me know what is the problem.

Best Regards

Roman
1) I also get this if I activate the display on GlobalPrime
2) It could be a coincidence but in one back-test with GP : profit protection did not kick in
and this alert appears to be connected with profit protection.
3) Also AUDJPY pending sell order is missing even though the equivalent chart is correct - so I think that might mean that the data is not the cause.
4) From time to time GP Empty4 appears to be dead but usually comes back after a while
5) Two MT4s with dashboard on is enough keep all 4 CPUs busy!
6) I am thinking about the refresh button being used so that the dashboard only updates on click,
or another button which is for refresh dashboard on demand and a setting for it.

I removed the expert then re-attached it to the chart, but this time made sure that I ticked the checkbox which says don't repeat alerts.
Also changed showdisplay to true.
Now not getting that alert anymore.
The dashboard is about two thirds complete:
From GBPUSD onwards it is empty. :o

Anyone else having similar problems please let us know which crims you are using because I have two other accounts running smoothly.

I got the issue with the profit protection not kicking in as well, together with the alerts.
I'm not having the other issues mentioned but I did notice not all the pendings appearing based on their corresponding chart setups. I will start a clean Empty4 and go through all the settings again to make sure it's not a terminal thing.

Empty4 on two PCs behaved strangely over night with GP hanging & an Alpari Demo lost/blocked Internet usage.

Empty4 GP gave a direct sell for AUDNZD - I just now deleted these as they previously almost touched TP (2pips?, demo account) and reversed. Also long term charts show long term super support in this region with strong chance of a bounce.

It's a reminder that actively managing SL/TP can improve results.

Unfortunately, we missed the EurGbp buy because of being on the wrong side of MA,
however, we might get some orders after the pull back.

Post subject:  Snatch and Grab

I am testing two different autoTraders?...

EA on GP is operating a snatch and grab policy:
It jumped in on GbpChf two instant trades, profit lock kicked in on the retrace and out in a flash - impressive results Andy - the balance of one negative and one positive was +60 pips :D

Meanwhile, the other demo on Alpari is active with 4 open trades and 3 pending orders.
but no snatch and grab activity.

Andy

I'm not sure if you're still developing the EA, but was thinking yesterday that it might be interesting to add in Baluda's GlobalMarketTrend indicator to filter out when the market is going sideways / accumulation / distribution phases.

http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=45&t=629

I use this in my Live setup with VSA to wait until the 'Smart Money' has either marked the price up / down with News etc.

Above 5 and market is trending, and below accumulation / distribution..I guess it could be used to scale in trades if over 5, 10 etc.

I'm not one for layers of filtering, but this could be worth adding..

After repeated attempts with the final version, I gave up and had to run the older version for this to work. There is some error in the final version; might want to take it down for now.

I am now considering two approaches. The first attempts to take fewer trades (CSS on, 98/2 RSI, etc) at standard money management (% profit). The second attempts to take more trades (CSS off, 80/20 RSI, all pairs, less buffers, etc) but closes out when the basket hits a modest percentage profit. Second approach requires more margin. On the second approach, I want correlation to work in my favor, hopefully catching a strong move in correlated pairs that dwarfs losses and puts the basket in % profit (on this approach, the EA has nine trades open right now...). Curious to watch these large baskets, the profit will fluctuate wildly during big moves.

I think that with either approach it might be wise to not trade certain pairs each week depending the previous price action the last week. For example, I wish I had not allowed trades on CHFJPY, it has been above the 240 for the last seven weeks, but the last two have been completely sideways with narrowing pivots.
