CONCLUSION
Therefore the conclusion must be to load HGI 15.06 or later, to a chart, do your back testing, formulate your trading plan, save for future reference, and when finished back testing, ignore those symbols as they will probably repaint sometime in the near future, and just trade what pops up during formation of subsequent candles.
Unfortunately for me, as I have intermittent internet connections living in a third world country, which causes frequent re-initializing and repainting thereby contaminating past results and I must start my analysis all over again. Frustrating to say the least.
And Mr. Milanese, when you have nothing better to do, the V15.06 CSS pop up gives the same message for buffers 7 and 8. Can you code to distinguish between 7 and 8 in the pop up panel.
Also I would like to permanently change the colors of the various arrows. Colors revert back to default when re-initialized. Sometime the small arrows get lost within the candles being same color as the candle.

Updated to 16.02

Now what I'd like is a filter so that I don't get a trend signal for a SELL unless it is within x pips of the daily high and I do not get a BUY unless it is within x pips of the daily low. (x settable in the indicator)

That should keep me out of bad entries when I can't see a chart.

I've been bitten by GBP crosses lately due to not having this.

Not exactly what you want but useHurstFilter=true ensures that you only take an entry after a pullback.

I just want to say a big THANKS to everybody involve in this indicator !

I've been trading since 2 years now and i never had this kind of result.I made 900 pips last week using the HGI and honestly i can't believe it. I'm following big arrow and i just get out when i see wave signal or a candle that make me feel uncomfortable (hammer, shooting star, doji).

The knowledge share on this forum is just gold for anyone who wants to learn trading.

Hey, no problem

As you can see, i should have stay in my last trade but this shooting star+ wave wasn't a good presage.
It was already a good winner anyway :smile:

I'm using fractals for stoploss, i have also two MA (100,50) to show the main direction and a non-lag ma to confirm.I take every arrow signal from the HGI but if the arrow is in the opposite trend direction and i don't agree with the HGI indicator according to my other indicator or my skills, then i'll monitor more often the trade just to be sure i won't loose to much.
