If the EA or indicator has it written in the code to notify you it is possible. I have never used it but Email or cell phone notification ability is in Empty4. I have no idea how to use it though since I have never used it. Go to tools, options, notifications and that gives you the ability to set it up. How to do it though, I have no idea. Then if you have a program that gives signals I am sure there is a way to notify your cell phone. |

OK, crazy week of range trading. How did you do? I missed my 10% for the month and came in at 8.5% so that is OK a strong final week and I would have made it but that is trading. This is what I said at the beginning of the week. This weeks CSS looks simple enough GBP, CHF and EURO angling up. The AUD, CAD, JPY angling down. NZD and USD are flat. I would look to buy gbp, chf and eur against everything but the AUD. Especially if price breaks above the 20 line. I will continue to look for JPY sells, CAD sells. NZD, USD, and AUD will wait and see. OK gbp, chf, and euro up? EURO buys eur/aud, eur/cad, eur/usd all ranged all week and spiked on Friday. I call Friday's spike trader fatigue. Prices had sat most of the week and then a .10% rise in something and the news traders said heck with it we buy. Normally a story like that would have been nothing. eur/jpy ranged downwards and then spiked up back to their start point on Friday. I tried some euro trading this week but it was small and frustrating. I did profit though mainly on eur/aud and Friday's eur/jpy move. I also tried some chf pairs during the week and was 7-6 for a small loss but I dont trade chf pairs much. GBP buys I went long all week with gbp pairs. My best one was the gbp/aud, and thanks to the gbp/nzd upswing on friday I broke even on that one. The rest were all small profits of 15-30 pips here and there but by the end of the week I picked up almost 500 pips on gbp buys so am pleased with that prediction. AUD sells I did very will selling aud by buying the eur/aud and gbp/aud. Tues and Wed did well selling aud/usd but lost it all when it went back up on me later in the week. aud/chf made 45 pips. CAD sells were good during the week with a retracement on Friday. So did well there but few trades. JPY sells Good moves on Monday and Friday crappy in the middle of the week. Fridays retrace allowed me to make a small profit on JPY sells this week. USD sells mostly kind of dead but did well on eur/usd sells until Fridays news story. Others were lucky to make a small loss, break even, or make small profit so ehhhhhhhh week on USD. So clawed my way to a 2.25 increase of my account this week but it was a fight to do that. Recognized it was a range week from the CSS and 10.6 reads and traded accordingly. |

CSS daily reads for the week. gbp, chf, eur, are angling up. Euro story Friday spiked the euro and chf up. Half of the pairs have already given up the news spike and I suspect the rest will too. It was not a game changer story. So eur, chf will probably angle down unless something else comes to play. They may hold their overall strength positions just on the fact no one else wants it. GBP will continue to do what it does best 'range' with more going stronger than going weaker. I wlll continue to play eur, chf, gbp strength against aud and nzd weakness especially early in the week then see where it goes next. USD, CAD are about the same just below the -20 but not moving much from there going flat. If you want to take USD, CAD trades look for sells until they move off of the flat range. AUD, NZD aud is weakening fast and the NZD should soon follow. They may both end up on the bottom by the time the week is over. JPY is getting to be an interesting read with some strengthening right at the end of the week. That is not surprising since it does that almost every month. The question is will it continue to do so? Sunday night is the key with a major China news story. If the manufacturing PMI comes in lower look for the aud and nzd to tank and the jpy to strengthen. The jpy is the safe haven currency of Asia and they will run and buy it off of bad China news. If China news is good then the jpy will probably stagnate until the bond sales start again on Wednesday/Thursday morning. If China news is bad will the sales be able to overcome its strengthening, If China news is good I predict a good month for jpy sells. So euro currencies up against commodity currencies aud, nzd, cad also jpy depending on how the news goes. USD gets to dance with the ugly girl this week. Maybe it will weaken, maybe it will strengthen, maybe it will slide down some more ............. maybe it will go up if the euro currencies stumble. |

Not that the NFA represented Forex traders anyway but now the dealers are being shut out also. ......................... this doesn’t change the fact that retail forex community is most likely going to be stripped from a direct representation of its interests on the NFA Board. The proposal has been put to a vote where ballots must be submitted by March 21, 2014 http://www.leaprate.com/forex-industry- ... alers.html |

Neither currency is a major player in the markets. Their war materials are mostly Russian so purchases outside the area are not likely. I dont see the US getting involved here. The Europeans can do some sanctions but their energy costs would rise some. I dont see them doing anything militarily. I really dont see that much of an effect on Forex unless it spills outside those two countries. I am not sure what the Russians really want to accomplish here unless they want to extract some concessions from the Ukrainians. The USA cancelled their G8 meeting participation in Russia as a protest but those meetings never really affect Forex that much anyway. If war breaks out the Ukrainian military is big enough and strong enough to put up a good defense and cause the Russians to have serious losses. It is not the same as Georgia. The Ukrainian military really doesnt have offensive capability but could hold up well until they ran out of war material. Dont know how they can resupply themselves since most of their stuff is Russian. Hopefully things will settle down but from what I understand of history the Ukrainians are a tough bunch. Certainly no pushovers. |

Hi BOB I agree that the effect on Forex would be negligible. However, as for the analysis of Russia v Ukraine I do not agree. There simply is no contest, plus the complex ethnic make up of Ukraine. For example yesterday head of Ukraine navy declared his alliance to the Crimean parliament. In international relations still might is right and there is one law for super powers such as USA, China, Russia and there is one law for the rest. China would most certainly side with Russia due to their own problems in Tibet and elsewhere. Anyhow, enough of politics, in the next few weeks the media will be saturated with the news and we will be sick and tired of it. Kind regards |

CHF is the strongest currency both 4H and Daily CSS. So I went looking. 10.4 and 10.6 trade setups are there. See pics below of aud/chf, usd/chf, gbp, chf, also nzd/chf. |

JPY bond sales start Thursday so you may still see JPY strength for a couple of more days. Probably to the end of the week. Play it tight and dont let any JPY buys get too deep in the hole. Euro is stronger than the USD and AUD on CSS you maybe able to catch a short trade or two there. My internet is down at my home again so I can only post while I am school. Hopefully I can get that straightened out today. |
