steve and squalou, I know you two are mql language expert.
Do you know how to write code to describe stochastic line cross down macd singal line?

Return value of iStochastic and iMacd seems don't have a compare station.

I ask this question here because that's a indicator Bob ever used.
And I found a bad answer here

thanks.

Good luck 2012.

MACD is in pips and stochastic is mapped from 0 to 100, so there isn't a way to naturally combine the two. I suppose you could take the high/low range of the MACD and then transform the single line to a 0 - 100 range based on the high/low range. The problem would be deciding how many bars back you want to look at the MACD to get the high/low range. I suppose for normal MACD settings, the range isn't that variable.

Hmm.... (time passes) OK I'm back. I've attached an indicator that does what I think you mean. Nothing fancy, just illustrating the idea. Let me know if it matches what you expect to find. Blue is Stoch and Red is MACD Signal.

The range of values for MACD is actually all available values, which is why it seems so flat. It may be more useful with a limited bars look back for the range.

squalou, I am using your S&R indicator to assist me with some (live) recovery for trades taken on TB and have a question re: chfjpy.

Using the ea I took a sell trade at 81.640 for which a take profit was set by the ea of 40 pips (this was with the failed tp function)
Trade closed for a nice profit, but has continued down, however I haven't been able to get back in as there is no support in sight.
I'm not sure if this was correct, but I went into the indi's properties and changed look back days to 365 but this didn't appear to make a difference. I changed to 4H 1H charts etc, still can't find any support.

Can you please help with how I can identify the next level to get in at or should I just wait for a retrace?

With several pairs now at extremes I had to look on the D1 and just zoom out. For CHFJPY I set it to 500 and found SR at Oct 2010 and May 2010 with values at 80.94 and 80.32 respectively.

The D1 zoom will give you an idea how far back you need to set the indicator. In your case 365 was not enough. Crazy times.

Hi guys

Been trading this method live for a month or so now and have the EA running on an FXCM account.

What does Criminal ECN mean? How do I know if my criminal is an ECN and what difference does it make turning it on/off in the EA settings?

thanks guys!

FxozGirl

I have been adding manually drawn SR levels using the weekly line chart. I look for pivot points where S become R at least 3 times and then draw in a horizontal level. I find these weekly SR zones to be very meaningful. You can enter on the daily Squalou indy and then set a limit order at the manually drawn level.

This keeps you focussed on the big picture too. I have often been shaken out of good trades by dropping to lower time frames and getting scared out by reverse price action or setting stops too tight. I find with looser stops and concentrating on the weekly trend, entering on the daily, I catch the longer stress free trend trades.

Hope this helps?
