Hi Doug, Hope you had a great weekend with the horses! I have question: What time frame am I seeing here on this EURJPY 15m Chart? This picture is Friday 2nd of May . I see the Golden Rod band that seems to have clearly acted as resistance and stalled this up move of price. I don’t see it present on any of the higher time frames so would grateful if you could explain what I am looking at here? This is using the Gann bob Candle V2 template. Thanks |

What will probably happen is that you will have to re-install. But I need to figure that out. I have duplicated it on an Cowboy IBFX Demo I switched to a live account. The ribbon you are referring to is the daily but it is not where it is supposed to be and resistance was just coincidental. I suspect there are some faulty Demos out there of 625. I was going to use this as a second instance of the ribbons so thanks for pointing it out. I went back to my old template to make sure there was not a bug in the new indicator but that was not the problem. The problem is in the installation. Here below is how it should look from the gold installation I started with and have been using for years. That is until 625 came along and is screwing up everything. Look at the White horizontal LINE at the top of the Daily. It is at exactly the same price as you move up time periods successfully. The colors change because of needing less ribbons as you go up the time periods. I got to eat but I will get back with you. Padnoter were ok I think. Cheers, Doug |

Hi Doug, Finally read through all the docs/videos & thread. Again, thanks for sharing, the ribbons are very interesting & I hope I can find some pips from them. One of my platforms (ETXCapital) seems to give strange results on some ribbons - they sometimes move to different places depending on the timeframe chosen. See the attached picture of a 5m & 15m of the AUDUSD - everything is correct (the blue ribbon on 5m becomes the grey ribbon on 15m, brown becomes green etc), apart from that olive/dark green (levelsUP=5) ribbon on the 5m - so represents the D1 ribbon. On the 15m chart it is there and correctly off the chart below (assuming my other platform is correct). So am pretty sure it's not the code, but I just wondered if you or anyone else has noticed something similar and whether they found a way to fix it? It's annoying switching timeframes only to see a new ribbon appear or one disappear. I've looked for bad Empty4 data, and tried the LoadHistory script - so there is plenty of data to calculate the long MAs. I've tried the old & new templates but no difference - there is something up with either this Empty4 or with ETX data/platform I'm  Any ideas? (apart from avoiding this ETX platform - it's a spreadbet one which I like) Cheers Padnoter |

It may be platform related are you using the 625 version. See my above note. Cheers, Doug You can always check calibration like i did in the above post. See the White horizontal line. Put is on the largest time period and move up time periods. |

Yep this one screws up on my ETX platform also (see attached) - level 4 is way too far above, and level 3 is too big/wide.. But FXCM matches yours perfectly - both have plenty of data & use same templates/indis.... frustrating that some Empty4/providers are ok, but some are not. Guess I'll just have to use FXCM for ribbon analysis & ETX to trade it... unless anyone has an idea of fix? |

Padnoter I think it has something to do with Administrative rights. Probably a windows 8 issue. I am looking into it. You should be able to use this broker. Cheers, Doug |
