The acc with the aggressive "... OOTBbuild509" version has blown, but all in all I lost confidence as well. BUT: do you have a real win with this bot ? Is any MFXB link availyble from your side to have an overall look what's going on ? Of course I'm not the person able to evaluate this EA - so if you could show a way how to use it in a better manner - that would be nice ! :hi: |

I have noticed in the past two weeks or so, the currencies involved in most of the "damage" are AUD, GBP, JPY. These are also the currencies that tend to trend the most... Someone mentioned a few posts ago to trade USEK & UZAR...currencies that don't seem to trend all that much... I think that if we can identify pairs that range more than trend (is that even possible?), the EA will make plenty pips. Thoughts? H :hi: |

It seems - all in all - its not possible - and that's the point ! Every fundamentals may for every pair sooner or later cause wildest moves - AND: we never cant predict this !! Bcz of that, any manual trading might be more successful then EA trading. The bot must be very very tricky to respond to these unpredictable events and moves and trends in a richt manner. YES, that's the HG.That would be the HG. Especially all the attempts of grid trading - on of the best representatives here is Jose - suffer from the main question / problem: how to catch/manage the trends and trend changes or the changes from range to trends ! Resolving that prob would be the victory. Look at all these numerous MFXB link (including mine !) here in the grid threads and you will see the pic that's ever the same: the balance and the equity curves sooner or later are in discrepancy. The gap between these 2 curves (red and orange - in MFXB) is impossible to close for a long long time and yes at the end it could blow even big accounts ! Yes - I think the biggest challange is really this grid trading Jose is tireless trying to resolve ! |

I have seen 50+ live accounts blow up before with grid martingale EA, However, Recently, I have seen 2 live accounts blow up, Both of them increase their real money profits near 900% for last 9+ months and blow up by recently strong trend from USD, One live account used stop loss but after 3 times, it lose 80% for all profits and not much left, Another one, It kept on fighty using good smart hedging but no match with 2 extra good news in USD, and blow up and it just need slightly more money before USD weaking and pass this trend crisis. Although, Both accounts blow up, They did withdraw profits, so They are still winner. Sebgrid demo test is testing to see which pair is more suitable for it, I saw that in AGT demo, It was equity stoploss on GBPUSD lose 25% and may be NZDUSD and other pairs at well, mainly blow up by USD strong trend. Forex is 0 SUM market, if means that when one pair go up, Other pairs will lose same amount of pips, so market is always zero, it is highly manipulate by pro smart money( Human), and broker, both are winner, retail trader have very high chance as loser. <<<<<I think that if we can identify pairs that range more than trend (is that even possible?), the EA will <<<<<make plenty pips. Yes, It will help, also, It needs more starting money, but I think that it also need skillfull human trader help, However, user of grid martingae are newbie, not able to assist EA to exist trend crisis or stop it before some extreme area of market. Most grid martingale EA are eye candy, good curved fitting backtest fool US again and again, blessing EA is one of them on the list. because it is highly curved fitting, It was killed by market change, (big killing on AUDNZD), Broker ( blessing use very sensitive input), broker can cause it missing some important trades, results will be totaly differnet, you can look at all Blessing - Matilda on GBPUSD live and demo/demo, they are quite differenet due to broker( spread, tick data pause) causing them missing some key trades result different results. Since most Grid martingale EA are counter trend EA, and they fail, so Coder add more trend ability to EA, Matilda uses 3 level smart trailing trying to capture high profit when it is in trend, it is a good idea. |
