hi and thanks for responding to the green candle error I'm treating it as a minor glitch at the moment as it is all a coin-flip trade anyway but with that said I will be going through some back test in visual mode checking all entry points in detail, the problem here though is the trade error was done in forward testing not in back testing so it's hard to know what we can trust and the forward test is not repeatable. I will let you know if I spot anything but keep in mind back testing visually does take some time acs. |

here is a example of a short trade closed with profit after 23 hours by the EA without having hit SL or TP, I think it was about 26 pips the EA will soon be poised for taking another short on the next Candle acs |

Hi, Acs Currently only three ways to exit: 1. Hit the stop loss and take profit (I do not use TP) 2. TradeInOpenBarOffset of the next day (after 23 hours that is automatically closed order) 3. When order's profit reached (Equity * ProfitPercent) (ProfitPercent is double risk set) |

I have not used any logic the settings are the default settings of the EA it was just a Example of how the EA will close your trade after 23 hours you may have a profit or you may have a loss, but regardless of profit or loss the trade will be closed in order to take a new trade on the next candle hope this helps. acs |

Hi and good morning to all ok there seems to have been a problem and I'm not sure what it was but the EA for some reason yesterday had closed towards the end of the day, I turned it back on expecting it would still manage the trade. but as you can see from the picture it did not close after 23 hours you can see the red "C" below the 10 am candle but the trade is still active so perhaps the interruption for whatever reason of the EA has stopped the management of the trade, I will run it in tester later and see if it works on tester. I will leave the trade on as it is for the time being and see what happens acs Edit : ok I ran it on tester and as expected it closed the short at 10 am candle open and opened a buy at 11 am candle so I can only assume the interruption to the EA did cause a problem |

Haha, a strange thing happened again. Thank Acs of hard work. Trading does not close, I think there are two possible situations: 1. Magic number of orders changed. You may modify the magic number built-in the EA program. 2. In 1hr period of order close, your computer is not online (in other words, at 10: 00 ~ 10: 59AM between you and your broker platform lost contact) In addition, I have also not found any other case. trade happy |

Folks: Attached is an update. This is an attempt to correct the discrepancy that acs saw when a trade is opened and closed. The modification was to used hour count (0,1,2, .. 23) instead of time (xx:xx) to determine trade management. The rule that I interpret is from the original thread. That is that a trade is closed at open of TradeInOpenBarOffset and a new trade is opened at TradeInOpenBarOffset close As an example: London Open hr = 9 ( or 0900 UK time) BrokerGMTOffset hr is 1 hr so then LondonOpen time in Broker hrs is 10 (9+1) Say TradeInOpenBarOffset = 1. Then: EA should close trade at open of LondonOpen time in Broker hr (10) + TradeInOpenBarOffset hr (1) = 11 EA then will open new trade at LondonOpen time in Broker hr (10) + TradeInOpenBarOffset hr (1) +1 = 12 or Close trade at open of 11th hour Open trade at open of 12th hour (which would be right after close of the 11th hour) I will be forward testing to see if this change helped. ACS do your magic!!! Questions/Comment.... bring them on Peace PS: As for interrupting the EA, based on the code it should not affect anything and the EA will pick up where it left off from. |
