One thing that I noticed, trades with BTCUSD or USDMXN will skew the pips reporting due to the nature of these pairs, as a result of the decimal structure I guess

Is this something of a concern or don't worry about it?

I can show an example if you like

Don't know about BTCUSD as it is not offered by Global Prime.

The algorithm/formula that is used in TradeReport to determine the PIP Factor for a symbol, comes up with 10,000.0 for USDMXN. That means that a trade that opens a BUY of USDMXN for 18.92 and closes it for 18.93, would have resulted in 100 PIPs. Is that wrong? I don't know -- I don't trade USDMXN.

Attached are the PIP Factors for all symbols offered by Global Prime, as calculated using our PIP factor code. Let me know if you see any mistakes.

Best to show the report, see the 2 top lines, small positions as only trying them out

Bottom line has positive results but way negative pips

Your post illustrates neatly why I have moved away from pips target profits to cash target profits in everything I do.

The only thingy that matters is the cash bottom line. Pips are not relevant. Cash is king. I have seen lots of positions closed at lots of pips profit but cash loss over the years. I do not allow them any more in my trading.

  • New button below the first column, when clicked it cycles thru all possible groupings/summaries.
  • Tradereport adjusts itself automatically to high DPI monitors.
