Strategy one demo is doing alright. I am making up ground from when I lost money with version one of the EA before 60-5. 4 winning trades to 2 looses. One of them would have been a winner if we implemented close at end of candle with an extreme spike in opposite direction signal or combination of what ever Evaluator feels best.
Hi slowkey, i'm changing some of my EA's to do what you are saying on option 1. I'll post the results when i have some on screen in the history tab.

also, i'm going to chaqnge the time frames in the inputs, check the picture . i'm going change the TF's. refer to pic. i'm also going to only head for 10TP and 10SL. if the the EA kicks in when it should, 10 pips should'nt be a prob. I dont mind risking what i'm trying to gain, so 10pips TP is good enough for me.

nothing new to add from my previous posts, slow trading on all currencies, but looking at all settings now.

thanks for the update on your side.
regards
george

Hi Steve,
can you please enlighten me, with a spot light please. I'm thinking about using nanningbob with the 3 options. i believe the EA will use both the cycle indicator and nanningbob as confirmation to take an position, or would you suggest hanover here, coupled with using M1 as the low time frame, and 15TF as the high. is this daft on my side??
your thoughts please?

In strategy one evaluator had a nuanced approach to closing this trade. I have been using a target because I remember him talking about wanting 30 pips out of the trade which seems reasonable. However I am seeing these opposite spikes on the LTF first of all signals. On the big move on gbpjpy last night I captured about 90 pips with reentry when I saw the LTF turn back on to sell which I suspect was because of a repaint. I will need to run in visual mode with the cycle indicator running and see what is happening there. However from what I understand I doubt that closing a trade with an oposite spike on LTF would be a problem. When you look at the cycle indicator on the 60 minute time frame extreme spikes can be days apart. So conditions stay favorable to a continuance of a trade following the trend of higher period when you get a spike again on the LTF in that direction. Also the HTF main indicator stayed on longer through the gbpjpy move. The LTF just has to turn back on to agree with the HTF.

helloslowkey,
i agree and it is exactly as you say, i'm just going to try something different as it's pointless us trying the same thing, and then we can compare. You can be the big gun, i'll be the pea shooter, hahaha.

it's still slow on my side, even with the lower time frames, i will wait to hear what Steve has to say about that.
regards and good night,
i am 11 o5pm and ready for zzzz.
cheers and will let you know how it go's through the night and ealy tomorrow round about the beginning of london time.

i'm a little diss-organised at the moment with so many charts and i've basically lost track from my notes and have to look at all the settings to remember what i've done, haha.

anyways, i also get these errors and i think the 'trade context is busy' is a Empty4 thingy. too many commands going through at once.

the one thing i messed up with in the beginning, was not having different magic numbers for all of them. so when one would send a sell signal , it would sell all the similar magic numbers in the same pair across the board.

Further than that, i can't throw any more light here, but please do post your results. this is going to be very interesting.

also, are you finding there are less trades?

george
I've got no trades, no signals whatsoever on EUR/USD since I started testing the 60-5 version, yesterday.

I have thrown open the full panoply of available stuff so that people can play with them. For me, if looking for an overall trade-direction filter, it is the D1 Rsi(20).

Symphonie has the rare accolade of making it onto a demo on my trading machine. For now, I am letting the 60-5 thingy run to see what happens - breakeven at _30 as per Eval, exit strategy 1.

More than that, I cannot offer because I simply do not know.

Double check your tools-options-expert adviser setting and make sure only the 4 main boxes are checked. Look at your experts tab and make sure it says all the indicators are loading. Make sure you have them all in the indicator directory under under experts. Make sure they are named correctly. I think originally they had "for ea" or something at end but this is not how they are called in code.

Than what you can do is run the same period through in the visual mode of strategy tester and just read what is going on. You can also pick up on any setting that you may have missed there because if you are getting signals on both main indicators and no trades something must have been set wrong in Empty4. I have seen only one trade on eurusd since yesterday afternoon for a loss. I trade 19 pairs to give my self and abundance of opportunity to test the ea. But swiss pairs right now are in my dog house.

What i found interesting, is the 5-60 rule that Eval is using. he watches the 5m TF and if the starts line up, he checks the 1H TF and if it is showing 2 or more of the same indis in his 5mTF, he makes his trade. i Believe it's his Emontion and Sentiment indicator in the 1H TF that he looks at as a minimum for executing this position. This is programmable, but in reality, i think this is about 2 or 3 trades a day. Eval could comment about it, i never tried that, i like to get in and out all the time, one of my weaknesses.
cuzgeorge,

I think you may have the Symphonie 60-5 method backwards if I read your post correctly. I attach two flow diagrams that demonstrate the thought process behind Symphonie Trader System and the corresponding Symphonie 60-5 method.

Chart 1

First is the original design chart on the actual functions of price action and why I say that Symphonie is designed to always catch price action on the backside of a movement. You will see that Symphonie look to find already established patterns then one enters the price action the moment after the top/botom has been established and catches the ''meat'' of a price action movement. You want to enter at this area because you are looking for as little resistance to your orders direction as possible to ensure your chance of success. (original Symphonie Construction)

Chart 2

The reason I think Symphonie 60-5 is more successful is because it breaks down this process even further while keeping the trader looking at the larger picture (hourly chart) and out of the whipsaws of 5 min price action. As follows;

Symphonie in the 1 hour timeframe creates a signal. At this point, the 5 min Symphonie Matrix is usually always out of sync with the hourly chart as most candlesticks always have a wick. So for an hourly candlestick the wick is the pullback 5 min. Therfore, the 5 min chart must be out of sync or even showing a opposite signal.

Symphonie 60-5 method looks to catch both timframes at the exact moment both signals match which creates a very strong signal usually with great price action movement. (optimal entry point)

This is explained visually by chart number two.

So, 60 min Symphonie Signal first then watch 5 min for Symphonie Signal in the same direction as 60 min. (i.e. Symphonie Sync Point)

There you have it....my entire brain trust on how Symphonie was designed and what it does in two easy graphs.

Thanks Steve, I think I am going to set up demo machine two with the filter and forget Strategy two because I think money management is an issue with it. There is enough to work on with one. I rather give it all my focus.

Very nice explanation Evaluator. Explains how I captured 90 pips of the move in the gbpjpy last night. It seems to be an effective strategy.
