No disrespect intended but what planet do you live on?

I can't just magic up 10k to put in an account for trading. I this world, I have a mortgage, loans, credit card debts and household bills. My wife works full time as I am struggling to make enough money to cover my half of the bills. With a low paying pizza delivery job that hardly gives me full time wages, I am lucky enough to say that I can fund an account with £400.

Anyway, rant over. I have attached the set file.

Basically I have a 10 pip grid size, TP at 10 pips and all hedging sets at "0" except for the cash hedge profit at £5 which is approximately 80pips if converted cash for pips on the GBPJPY pair. Distance between group pips 5000 and L4 opposite grid send to TRUE.

I am not convinced yet if it my the "best settings" although it is something that has been working very well for such a short period of testing. Things I am considering at the moment is to make the basket profit even smaller and the grid larger.

I've been reading a lot about Grid trading and Grid trading with hedge and unfortunately it has mostly been very negative. I myself am wondering why that is and are they talking about a similar strategy to what this EA is producing?

Whether the statement is valid, I had read on one website that mentions most people that grid trade trade in a grid of 20 - 30 pips and fail. His approach to it was that the grid was too small!!! He thinks that a grid should be around 100 - 150 pips which to me sound VERY laughable.

From this thread, it would seem to me that Steve is the winner of pip making. He seems to be catching a lot of pips. I am wondering if he has his basket TP at +30 pips as per original idea and also wondering what size his grid is set at.

I seem to be closing baskets overnight and not as much during the day. I'm up around 11% of my initial demo deposit of £300 since around yesterday 1am GMT. Cheers! Daniel

I played with the settings and I don't know exactly why things are the way they are but I don't seem to have any big amount of open trade battles like the first demo I had. I am taking advantage of what Steve posted quite a few posts back about keeping your basket TP low so it doesn't leave things floating as much. I am now only collecting £5 baskets and 10 pip TPs. I have collected 6 £5 baskets so far since about 1am yesterday. I am still thinking that with the right settings, this EA can be a very reliable steady earner. Cheers! Daniel

Daniel 10k acct, 0.01, 2 pairs (EU GJ)=> thats the key to make money with this EA. Play small lots. Margin call should have to be very far away.

I wish I understood all the settings even though most of them are pretty straight forward. I think I will see my demo account through for the rest of the month and see what it does and near end March or beginning of April I will put some funds and go live. I am also experimenting with HGBnG but I find that can bring more DD than GW so fingers crossed GW will be a steady earner until I can do more demo testing on HGBnG. Daniel

I think the secret weapon of this particular grid is the Semafor which seems to make a huge difference. And Steve excellent coding as always. As much as a grid method can be sort of random this on is less random than others.
