Hello guys,

Here is some news.

Sorry for late update, in short: i find a job (i work at L'Oréal Paris, a cosmetic brand). So i work in digital marketing. That's crazy !

Conerning Awesome, my demo has expired :( (for the records : 17 % performance and 7 % drawdown)

So at first october i create another one, it traded well, but then the bot stop trading during 1 week. Then, i download here the latest Awesome, and it started trading again.

So the results here is incomplete, but very nice.

Low drawdown, nice results :!!:

First of the month so posting some results using 1hr time frame and $25 basket close ver 1m.
No complaints for a $1000 a/c demo. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Now using on $1000 live a/c for a dose of reality.

I have been cleaning out my VPS and came across a demo that has been doing very well .

It has been running for 2 months On a 10k account GAIN 22.7% DD 7,5%

I am no coder but I am thinking if my profit is 10% of my balance everything closes. My question is does this reset or do I need to restart the EA I am a bit confused as to how this is designed to work. Trying to improve my knowledge and hopefully not deemed a stupid question. :)

Ok bit of an update and some more thoughts....
1. The instance on my VPS fired back up overnight so my reset question appears to have been answered. I think it is a good feature and will remain as it seems to have cleared up all the remaining trades, both good and bad and start afresh.
2. I need to stop being so lazy and delve under the hood myself, may need to learn some code :shock:
3. Possibility is the setfile I am using doesnt fully match version 1m :o latest version is ver 1q I think that is where I will begin, as there are a few versions/setfile combos now.

Anyway once again thanks for inventing the code/system in the first place guys. :cheer:

Yeah you're probably posting in the wrong thread. I would keep this thread for discussing specific forward tests rather then general type questions about the workings of the EA.

Nope, your trades didn't close because of that code. Those settings above are the EA defaults. The set file you're using overrides those. The set file has cashprofit=5 and %target=0, those are the settings that will be used.

If you shut down the Empty4 instance or your VPS crashes or whatever, when you restart it the trades that were in place prior to that event should still be in place. The EA will just roll on and manage those trades.

Not sure why trades closed, did you change any other settings in the EA, like weekly profit target (that is set to 150 in the setfile)

I could be wrong (I often am) but I don't believe this is the case.

I'm pretty particular about putting some quality control in any testing I do, i.e. ensuring setfiles and EA versions match, appropriately naming setfiles, documenting the tests and settings used etc etc. That set file you're using was created on 19/9 and I'm almost certain that is the day v1m of the EA was released. 19/9 is the day I started my test with that setfile.
