still, problem is, my history data sucks
who has some quality data? and cares to share?

I have been running the current version of the EA with mickey's fratelli main indicator to compare signals and trades. Some times they are exact. Other times our Ea has not sent a PO. am I alone in seeing this? |

That is cool! Saves learning MT5  Is that using some sort of trading simulator EA and then running period converter from with in it? I read somewhere something like that. I did have dukascopy data using the method from Birts website but it would be nice to have some Oanda data to use. I use the dukascopier and then run the scripts but i ran out of disk space on testing machine so had to delete. Mike |

if (iCustom(NULL, 10, "Fratelli_MAIN_v1.3_ea",7,1) != EMPTY_VALUE) this is how u tell a custom indy to look on an offline chart after crashing today my pc over 30 times cause of that idiotic excuse of a platform called mt5, i was presented with 2 options, recode everithing in tradestation, ore java.... ore trick Empty4 ... choosed to trick Empty4  |

So if i replace the timeframe from 0 for any indicator to 10 it should work? Sounds like you have done lots of testing  I had a look into MT5 and in principle sounds so much better than Empty4. But when you read the reviews it just seems to be shite  Which platform do you think is the best for automated trading and writing code? |

Empty4 is good enough if you can find enough tricks to overcome stupid limitations... tradestation is better..but would`nt really vouch for it either... i think dukas is the best place... and off course the payed platforms yes from 0 to 10, u force the indy to look on youre offline chart last high on 10 mins is iHigh(NULL,10,1) for example and so on |

So in theory as long as your M10 history file is big enough you and run in ST on any chart if you hard code M10 in indicators? I read you can use a trading simulator with the period converter indy running to generate the data and run the EA on the fly by configuring a template that you can drop on with all the indicators you need. I'll give it a try this weekend. The EA is working to a point, still sometimes trades not the same as indicator this is mostly due to slippage, well that is what happend today. I lost 74pips yesterday but made 86 today, so overall i'm up 268 pips this week. Should have been more but i have been testing GU and it lost 60 pips this week. I have found 8-9 and 13-14 the best times to trade so far for EU,AU and EJ as no losses in this time slot. |
