Hope this helps everyone know the trade direction on Bob's simple 10.3 system. Thanks Bob :)

(Of couse someone will probably say that since the open for different brokers is different for the day, that the daily open will be different for me than it is for you. This is true, unless we change the code for daily opens like the code has been changed for pivots to get everyone on same page, then the daily open will be different for different people due to different brokers. if you want me to, I can see about making Daily open at 17:00 EST, although then we get into having to use GMT offset, etc).

Daily Open differences?? Doesnt everyone start with JPY　session?? Oh well, if it needs to be done we would need that.

Don,

Speedy work, here and with CTS-Don :)

1. Just confirming (since was unable to run an earlier version of your CTS-Don, perhaps because of historical data problems) This is an indy, not an EA? And CTS-Don is an EA too ?

Because this indy could then solve my big problem of not wanting to use EAs, for lack of control, especially as they are being developed continually here at this forum.

2. I would sure like that you standardize all opens to 5pm New York, maybe put an option in the indy menu for externs, with 5pm NY as default.

3. Also is there a general way way to use Empty4 EAs as indys instead (with Live Trading option unchecked, for example) that would then only issue visual alerts?
My whole theory is that one should be able to get visual alerts on screen on the current chart for all recommended pair trades, since once trades are automated, a slight mistake can wipe you out. Demo trades are fine, but the whole idea of forex trading is to make money in a live account.
Otherwise it looks like that one has to go through all the 28 pairs charts to find the 'right' trade and that is such a huge waste of effort.

Quick.. is this AllPairs Nov 1 an update to your OHLC Colored, or are they different? I haven'r seen a OHLC screenshot.

Bob,

MB Trading starts their day at 12 Midnight Eastern.

In fact the Pivots need fixed too.

See the difference between your template on FXDD and MB Trading. Both indicators using entirely different bars for pivot day and day.

So although I thought pivots code was great because it was simple and took care of sunday candle, it still does not fix the problem of other days starting different on the different brokers.

Let's keep questions for CTS in that thread please. I can say this: This is an indicator showing all pairs, based on same indicator that the CTS indicator is based on.

As far as standardizing, this is why I brought it up. I can't say I know the code that will work.

Number 3 is yes, and you do it just like you said.

Here's Pivot Points - Daily (Shifted).

I used the code from this to fix day open in an update I haven't posted yet, and think I need to use it to fix Daily Pivots for your strategy also. It does require a user to input a shift value. For MB Trading, I put in 7 to shift from GMT-4 to FXDD target GMT+3. For FXDD, I make shift 0.

My FXCM Empty4 shows a midnight gmt open with Bob's scalp 10.3 template.
JPY open Asian session is usually considered 6 pm EST without DST which would be 8am in Sydney. 7am in Tokyo. With DST this weekend, it would become 5pm EST... if Sydney Tokyo don't have DST.

So we do need standardization ! Maybe its the lack of which is making people see losing trades ?
