Twas a great day for JPY sells. 722 pips total on JPY sells. I love it when a prediction comes true, wish I could do that more often. We wish to skip the bad predictions and enjoy the good ones. :yahoo:

JPY is getting to be an interesting read with some strengthening right at the end of the week. That is not surprising since it does that almost every month. The question is will it continue to do so? Sunday night is the key with a major China news story. If the manufacturing PMI comes in lower look for the aud and nzd to tank and the jpy to strengthen. The jpy is the safe haven currency of Asia and they will run and buy it off of bad China news. If China news is good then the jpy will probably stagnate until the bond sales start again on Wednesday/Thursday morning. If China news is bad will the sales be able to overcome its strengthening, If China news is good I predict a good month for jpy sells.

OK.(LOL). I like to write when I can and particularly when I am waiting on certain market conditions. Hindsight is a wonderful teacher. I enjoy great cartoons, particularly when they can teach you much about the one who sends them. I, too, also appreciate sharing great bits of info which can be of benefit to others, particularly when nothing is asked in return. I also know that there are many comic books which have incredible value because of their fantastic and extremely valuable, rare content. Experience is a great teacher, and yes.. thankfully, hindsight is a great teacher too. It is 16 years of hindsight and experience which brings me to this great forum where I choose to share some info and insights which hopefully can help others. Yep, I am watching closely. ARE YOU?

I have a nj trade from 21st Jan left in place because of the positive swap. It went hundreds of pips into the hole but I was able to leave it in place because I follow Bob's principle of tiny lot sizes - it would have to go thousands of pips into the hole before doing the account any harm.

It has recovered and is now about +30, a HUGE movement in the opposite direction. I am leaving it in place simply to benefit from the positive swap whilst seeing what happens in the long run.

Those of you waiting to buy nj wait. It has made a huge movement long and a retrace is inevitable. Wait for the correction.

Taking the break off of a previous high (breakout trading) is also a time honored way to trade. You better believe I have a pending above every high on jpy pairs to follow the trend when it continues and if it pulls back I will be adding more positions. When the market it moving you go for a swim, not watch the beautiful girls in the bikinis.

OK Lets see. JPY weakeness is really strong, aud and nzd moved to the top on 4H but in the middle on the daily. Would not be surprised to see them stay strong as JPY weakness stays in play.

USD weakness is fairly strong but I expect it to level with NFP tonight.

GBP dead center, which is what I expected.

CAD will it continue to stay strong. News reports lately have been good so I would expect it to continue to strengthen.

eur and chf moving back into their UT very possible.

BIG ELEPHANT in the room which could change things at any moment UKRAINE and RUSSIA. With yesterdays news of fresh intervention after a pullback could make things volatile at any point. Lessen your lot sizes or stay out. Me I lessen my lot sizes and jump right on in. A volatile market is where money can be made if you pile on the winners and not pile on the losers. My total pips for all trades yesterday was 970. I was hoping something would pop 30 pips during the aud.nzd session but no luck. Will take it though. Even trading small lots moved my account up almost 2.5% for the week and still have one day left.

CAD/JPY just broke the W high on the daily. I look for it to run. It opened the week with a 250 pip run so far. Once it completely clears that high it could take off. You will find similar patterns on other jpy pairs on the daily charts.

eur/jpy 350 pips up so far this week 250 yesterday alone. Yes I will be playing for a higher high but reaction to the events in Ukraine can change this at any moment. So what is your gut level???? Tired of the grind it out ranging trades. Well here we go with a possible major breakout.
