I was leaving it on my charts overnight for a few days and found there were times it would print a LOT of wavy signals all over each other. I'm gonna test it out for another 2 or 3 days but set it so only trend signals show

zxy,

It works just fine on the M15 Time frame for me, you have just got to Know when to Enter a trade and when to Exit that Trade Profitably. Sometimes the Signals can be a little bit confusing but you win a lot more than you loose trading HGI, I know because I trade a couple of Live Accounts and one Global Prime Demo Account with it successfully to date....

zxy,
One of the Tricks to trading HGI also is to never take your Eyes of the H4 and D1 Time frames because 7 out of 10 times those frames will eventually give you Advance Notice of where the Trend is Heading for Long Term, it might take a bit of Time and you might get all sorts of signals on the Lower time frames but be Patient and time your Entries, the D1 and H4 time frames always Do what you see on the Charts with regards to the Wavys.
Give yourself plenty of Screen time eventually you will get the jist of what I am trying to Explain later.
It takes time but after a while and a few misses as in you won't win all the time but you will Hit the Bulls eye at some point in time with some Wins and from then on the light bulb will shine even Brighter with your Trades...

Happy Trading Y'all.

that is correct. Why dont you run your own test using 16.02 as i did. You should see many symbols on a M30 chart or lower time frame. Then carefully go through the experts file and write down the alert in that file, noting the type of alert and corresponding symbol, then check your chart to see if all of those symbols are on the chart at the proper place and times. You will probably find that they are. then look at the chart and note any symbols that are on the chart and are not in the experts file. You will probably find about 15% are on the chart but are not in the experts log. That was my finding. Be sure you dont do anything of the many actions that will re-initialize your chart. If you do you will get an entirely different chart and symbol placement. that is why many are pulling their hair out. you will also find it benificial to change the various symbol colors around so when it prints over lapping symbols they show up. red small arrows for example will not show on red big arrows when they print at the same time and place. rare but they do. use a black background chart, white bars only (not candles) big yellow down, big turquois up arrows, and the rest default. makes for easy chart read. ron
I noticed on D1 trading that sometimes signals print on the previous candle, and therefore NOT generate alerts. This happens mainly just after rollover, when another complete bar is taken into the calculations.

Could this be what is causing your "issue"?
i have no idea. the whole idea of alerts is to wake you up that something is happening and stop and look to see if you want to enter a trade or exit trade, etc etc. glad you posted this bug. maybe the powers will fix. why would any indi print on the previous candle no matter roll over. what has roll over got to do with it?? do you have a big gap on the chart or such or anything on the chart that would excuse this bug? can you keep watching and report next time you see this. and can i suggest you watch a lower time frame for the same thing - say one hour. any indi worth its salt should work the same on any time frame provided you adjust settings for time frame. ron

there is no bug in the alert system, and HGI works as intended with all TF.. repainted signals are never intended to give alerts, as this would make no practical sense..

Cheers :)

Ron,

Simple advice; learn to live with it or try to find a better indicator.

One more time, TMA is used to generate these signals in HGI. TMA changes values in the past, based on new bars. No need to argue over this, it's a fact.

Since HGI calculates using 550 candles, after rollover the -550th candle is taken out of the equasion and replaced by the -1st. If the values of those 2 candle vary a lot, the calculation will give a whole different outcome, hence the signal on the -1st candle instead of the current one.

No, I can't, won't and don't.
I suggest that if you feel it's necessary, do so yourself. Don't post the results here, as we are already aware of it.

Maybe try trading instead of complaining. It is really boring. Milanese told you 10's times that there is no bug and nothing can be fixed. So live with it

Thank you for saying what I was about to say. Move on and trade, the issue is you either take the trade or you dont. Oil is dirty when it comes out of the ground but it still works when you put it in a truck, quit looking for dirt and use the oil.

Sorry for asking but can someone answer this. The guy says that a signal appears on the previous candle after rollover and he doesn't get an alert. Im cool with that no problem. But lets say that Im not sleeping and Im in front of the screen when that happens and I see it. Is it considered a valid signal so I get in the trade or is it a wrong signal and I neglect it? Im asking because Im gonna face it at some point so do I take the trade or is it wrong? Sorry if someone else asked the same and I didn't see it.

For what it's worth, I do take it as long it's a blue wave or trend-arrow.
