It most certainly has Steve. That was a brilliant move on your part (and thanks to Bob ofcouse).

4 trades closed for 210 pip total.
13 trades open, current float +170 pips.

OAM made another 71 pips today. I opened the basket at its usual 6.00 London time. Late in the day, two trades had closed at tp and the dd on the remainder allowed the closure with its associated profit.

I also opened the 'control' basket at about the same time. I see the same two trades closed at tp, whilst the rest of the basket has grunged around going nowhere.

I will open another basket at 8.00 London time tomorrow and see what happens from their.

This is fun.

Hi there Steve, guys.

OAM sounds promising.

I am assuming that you are running two different accounts with an instance of the EA in each in order to run them in parallel like you are doing?

Have you chaps / chapettes discerned which trading day is the most profitable, and the % tp? The trading day that sticks to mind is 17 with 33% tp. Do I have that correct?

Another closed 173 pips today; 473 so far this week.

I am going to do a Once a Day conversion so it trades as I have been doing this week, but without having to load the bot afresh each time.

Shows great minds think alike... or maybe fools seldom differ!

I found your latest post when I thought of suggesting that perhaps the answer to the stacking problems would be to have a second once a month ea that ran every day, compared results day by day, and then opened extra trades where the trend had moved by a set amount of pips or where a pair had closed after reaching it's TP% and the trend was still continuing.

I have been running the ea over the last few weeks with manual management and as you have added bells and whistles, adapted the management. When I have closed positions and taken the net profit, I have then set the ea to trade again the next day and that has worked well. To start with, I didn't set the stacking to 0, and not surprisingly in the light of your comments, this produced some odd behaviour. At present, I am trying out a lower TP% and then re-setting the opening day to trade again next day.

Many thanks for this toy - best yet: I know you will tell me if you think it is a lousy idea!

Hi Guys,

I did promise the other day, but as these two basket are going to close in one hour, then i thought it best to put my results up now.....

I did mention that i kicked one basket off on the 9th day, it has closed 828 pips and is currently in DD 399, so a net gain of +429

The second basket started on the 15th day and has closed 606 pips and is currently in DD 115pips for a net gain of +491

I think i will load two more demos, with the new Bob's H4 240 moving average trend filter, so we can see the performance of the both EA on a 9th and 15th day start....

Further to my post above, i was watching for the EA's to close my trades @ 18hours on the 20th day (today) just to see if this worked....

Well the EA's appear to only close 1 trade in each basket.....could this be a problem....?

I did not notice any errors in Expert of Journal tabs....

the EA's are version 1e

Hello all,

Basket opened the 15 th day of trading

I closed today the last trades. We have 11 trades that hit TP.

In the total we get 657 pips. Considering that's the last week of august, (this week has been catastrophic for me in the past, so i didn't trade it anymore), this could prove the strength of the strategy.

And i'll follow the next developments with a particular attention.

Steve,
Would it be worthwhile to add the new changes(240 filter) to the simulator? Then we can narrow down if any day is better than others to start OAM .
