Just wanted to drop a quick thanks to Pipcruiser and Steve for the Pipmasher EA. Whilst I've been working on other stuff, Pipmasher has been steadily plodding along on my vps and continues to clock up the pips.

Wouldn't rely on it if I were you. Your so-called 'broker' will do what he/she/it wants. And he/she/it will do it to you. Sorry for you if you are not able to become a Global Prime client. If you are able to and have not done so in the teeth of the howling blizzard of advice here that you become one, then you are an idiot and I suggest you find an activity less likely to separate you from your cash. Try this as an example of an activity less likely to separate you from your cash. Draw out all your money from your bank. Wander into a bar in the hardest city in the world that you can find. Walk up to the hairiest, scariest, largest drunk you can see. Give him all your cash and tell him you want it back with 100% return within the week. And then expect to wake up with your teeth intact a week later, after trying to call in the 'debt'. Or even wake up at all. That is how much chance you have of recovering your cash from the average so-called Forex 'broker'. When you have wrapped your negligible firing brain cells around that little lot, try wrapping it around trying to recover said cash from the less-than-average so-called 'brokers'. Stefan, it is entirely up to you whether you take any notice of the experienced members of SHF. Not doing so merely marks you out as a dimwit that we shall stop taking any notice of. Do feel free to rejoin us when you have blown a few accounts and finally come to your senses. What little your senses consist of. In the meantime, shut up and learn ok? Thanks PC, I'll give that a try. I've noticed a key element (as with all systems) is knowing when to close out the profits. |

I completely agree with this. It's one of the areas I have the most difficulty with. I haven't mastered my fear yet and subsequently run through the same old questions again and again. "Should I take my profits before they disappear?" "should I cut my losses before they get bigger?" "am I taking profit to soon and not giving it room to run?" "will this losing trade turn around if I try not to panic and give it time?" You get the idea.  I'm currently sitting with ~650 pips floating in the green and am considering closing out just before nfp to lock in the profit. How do the more experienced traders handle it? Do you close out? And if so, how long before the news hits? Do you use a tighter stop? Or do you just ride it out and see what happens? |

vlokkies also something im facing trading this EA. have also had a lot of floating green almost hit TP and then move back to BE, but wasnt running the jumping stop until yesterday (demo running ~ 2 months now - almost doubled account) considering that still doing blindingly well.... i think now with 75pip jumping stop (like aussiedoc and pipcruiser) this baby will do even better |

Hi trader689, can I ask what lot size per balance ratio you're using? This is lined up for my live account, just need to sort out the magic number implications, as I have other trades and projects I'm working on. |
