Hello closed all trades manually 'cos price is going nowhere at the moment in my opinion no trades for tomorrow,I'm starting to hate Fridays Trading times ,for both my experimental settings ---> from London Open to London Brokers' pre-lunch time (=4 Hours later) This week was quite trending and MAD EA was able to ride this kind of market very well Notes: Just for testing purposes,I made an exception and I've left the EA running free for all the NFP Friday 5th Feb my hypotesis was that this EA could have some legs for News trading Friday NFP trades final results + 2,37% I still have a lot of ideas about this EA,a lot of things to test Now,I'm waiting for a super-choppy- ranging week to see what this EA is made of thx Rene,George and Steve H |

I think you are on right track. I use a similar one mechanically. Once group is identified, red and green, I scan the pairs for momentum, and whether they are in the vicinity of round numbers like 00,20,50,80 of the other six major currency pairs. For TP and SL I consider risk tolerance based on M5 fractals or M15 printed on the chart. For positional trading, I guess direction, and just use ADR range as support and resistance (exhaustion points) and link it with Day's Open. Can EA use this logic? Ren has built a good motorcar and I hope he builds a reliable driver too. |

Hi Rene I found another issue when use the EA with broker who does not support standard 28pairs. However, EA still be working and can open trade entries for the available pairs without problem. You will observe that AUDGBP is an extra pair while NZDCHF is missing from my broker. It would be better if we can customize pair list if that will not affect too much relation of calculation in the dash. |

Hi Odsida, There is no where is the code a hard coded list of pairs to use -- instead the code 'discovers' what pairs are available that have two of the eight major currencies in their name. Obviously, your broker has a GBPAUD and a GBPAUDm pair that mucks everyone up. There is an option to exclude all the pairs ending in small case 'm', but it seems that this would not help you, as most symbols do have an 'm' at the end and only a few don't. You do know that Global Prime is the SHF recommended broker -- a broker that does things properly? I am not going to create a special version of MAD-EA, to support brokers that are not recommended and do things improperly. The best and easiest way for you is to open an account with Global Prime ... this would be an action you would never regret anyway. Rene |

Hi Guys I have made a few adjustments to my settings. As I have mentioned before, the 4 hr time frame is my medium term trend direction. When the 21 Lwma crosses back down under the 60 Lwma on the 4 hr chances are likely that we are experiencing a medium term change in direction to the downside, obviously the same applies for swings upwards. I have a Rule :I never scalp against the medium term trend and unfortunately the way I have had my settings, trades have been opened against the trend..... So I went back to the manual and Quote : TradingTimeFrame (Default: M1): This is the time frame used for the evaluation of the final trade entry rule. Once the system has identified a Strong currency XXX and a Weak currency YYY, it intends to BUY XXXYYY. However, before doing so, it works out the Slow MA for XXXYYY on TradingTimeFrame and the Fast MA for XXXYYY on TradingTimeFrame and it checks the following: (1) Bid > Fast MA (2) Fast MA > Slow MA For an intended SELL these conditions become: (1) Ask < Fast MA (2) Fast MA < Slow MA So if I make my trading time frame 4hrs it should fire off a trade when it detects strong and weak signal on the 5 and 15 minute t/frame only if the above conditions are met....at least I think so I have increased my Ma filter to 60 and and I think this parameter is important to detect trend direction,,,I might even look at increasing it at some point. I am also interested in testing the Css filter but will hang on with this. Anyway lets see how she performs now. Tc |

I now experiment with other ones. I have the result have made with wavegarricks set. But MA Filter active with 60. The key is good managing after trades fired up. So i have set MPTM-Global for this up with hedging. Its much to early to say if it stable. Greets Michael |

Excellent my first sell trade has triggered in the direction of the medium term trend ....eurchf sell Just a note if you use 4hr t/frame as your trading time frame input parameter the ea will wait for the 4hr candle close...I want to get in earlier so I have changed my trade inputs to 1 hour and 240 Lwma as the slow Ma which represents the 60 Lwma on the 4 hr t/frame for my fast Ma I am using 84 which is 21 on the 4 hour time frame.... Of course 240 Lwma 60 min time frame roughly represents 990 lwma on the 15 min t/frame....anyway will play around with this |
