Welcome to the GD bandwagon!

If you select 'Trade Both Directions' for DirectionBias, it won't listen to MADDY for the direction. Remember that this used to be a direction agnostic grid trader: if price moves UP an x distance, it would place a SELL and if prices moves DOWN and x distance it would place a BUY. Then we introduced direction bias, and forced it to only place BUYs or only place SELLs (depending on the bias) The next step was that the direction bias was taken from MADDY, by setting the DirectionBias to 'Get direction automatically'. That's what most of us are testing at the moment.

Hello Rene,
Which settings for MADDY are you currently using?

Also, Another question (I hope it's not a stupid one)
I was trading one setup with MADDY 1.7 before, but had forgotten to put all the support files (hgi_lib, OrderReliable, Symbols, CurrencyEvents, etc) in the required folders. However, the thing seemed to have been working fine and opening the trades in line with the indi running in my chart.
I'm installing this correctly now as per the instructions in the MADTrader Thread.

Just to make sure, is this version the one we're supposed to be using for GridDancer/GridMaster?

Anyone can help ?

My GridMaster sometimes cannot show equity line.

Especialy its happen when directional bias from Maddy.

Actual chart is attached.

When this happen, it seems Equity TP cannot work also.

How can I show Equity Line ?

Anyway amazing System !

Hi Guys just to let you know, I am still around. Had a major computer crash and re-installing as I go along. Years of work destroyed :arrrg:

Strangely, it is still not creating open orders after setting up the dancers with Get Direction Automatically.
What ive done
1) Stopped all the automatic trading
2) change all the GD with Get Direction Automatically
3) start auto trading
4) clear all the global variables
5) force maddy to have a condition to trigger more currency, eg increase the lookback to a much higher number just to see if GD would take the signal from maddy

No trade with this too. None since yesterday which has a few opportunities of weak and strong currency at the same timing..

From the screenshot, at least NZDCHF should have created open trades since Maddy already having a clear trigger.

Either my setup is spooked, stupidity between the chair and the PC, or my pc is going to crash like George's... :(

What you should try is this:
1. Remove all the GDs (you can do this with the GridMaster, by pressing the Rinse and Remove button). You can leave GridMaster running.
2. Clear the Global Variables
3, Make sure that Auto Trading is ON
4. Add the GridDancers to each chart, one by one.

The GridDancers status information, such as Anchor, GridLevel and GridSzie is created during the initialization phase. If you clear these global variables after GridDancer has been initialized, the Dancer is a little confused. I am not sure if this is the reason for not having any trades, but it could be.

In your picture , I cannot confirm whether Grid Master is running or not.

You need not only Maddy but also Grid Master.

Sorry if I miss understanding your situation.

Yes, that is true, but he is asking why no trades are being opened. Opening trades is the job of the GridDancers and he does have the GridDancers loaded.
