Hi Holbroom,

It really is up to each individual how trades are tackled. There is no way really to find a common goal with any Ea..Much depends on your own testing and investigation, and of course your broker. I have never seen any Ea agree on Shf in all the years I have been here with the same test sets. Looking at test sets could be good but more importantly can act as a guide that needs to be followed through by yourself.. With Geko's superslope dashboard it becomes vey individualistic. Trades are closed at the click of a button. My general guide to this is to activate the ea at london open or New york, the managment thereafter is up to the individual operator...

Always good to see test results here :good: .

Cheers
Leon

Thanks Leon. With OOTB settings, how are trades closed? Or do you have to manually Close All?

Hi Mwof.

The stance I have taken with Geko's superslope and nothing has changed yet...
Hi Jim, I am going with the -1% basket s/loss for now with the weekly set... must also be said that I have a 50 pip s/loss on every trade opened via my Mptm Ea..the weekly set is still dicey for me so I do close the basket manually when 100 pips or so is achieved. We get many signals in a day on the weekly set and I find it best served going into London open and New York activating the Ea...the notion I had of getting this set into a weekly trade and carrying on into the week has been dashed more than once so in essence it is becoming more a daily trade for me. A quick in and out...
My monthly set I have at t/profit of 5% as posted.
I have had a few 50 pip s/losses taken out today and it does not deter me in my overall goal. I have said on many occasions that there will be losing days and even weeks. The overall goal is what matters ;)

Hope i make sense

Hi Gekoand thanks for the ea.

I was wondering if we could change the auto lot size settings so that it uses equity rather than balance, since it is more secure?

Hi,

@ Leon :
Concerning the Pending trades idea, everything is doable, however it would complicate the EA logic that I wanted to keep as basic as possible for the time being. Most of the time, best results are coming from simplest ideas ;-)

Concerning the SL issue the settings are a bite tricky at the moment, in order to calculate the SL at risk you have 2 options in the DB:

- Use a fix Stop Loss
- Use a Dynamic Stop Loss (ATR)

This Stop Loss can be used to calculate order Lot Size only (no Stop Loss placed with individual orders), or the Stop Loss can be placed with orders.

Which option are you using for your Money Management?

If you calculate your Lot Size dynamically with ATR, indeed it is not possible to use a 50 pips Stop Loss for all your orders. If needed, I can tweak the EA to have this option but I don’t really see a value for this.

@ Matt:
The option already exist in the EA: “Calculate risk on ?”

@ ParFour:
Let me think at new buttons for a moment, I will come back with something ;-)

Cheers

Hi Geko,
I am discovering your EA. Just 2 small remarks, for new readers of your thread, maybe it would be more easy to publish your EA on the first page. My other point, is to report a possible error:
I have noticed when I close manually a trade from Empty4 trades panel, the same trade is launching again. So how to get rid of this behavior ?
