My big focus is making 10.2 work as a basket system for a variety of reasons. Last week we were rangebound so there weren't really any strength in the markets and thus no real trades for me. However this week has seen strength in the D1 TMA Slope values which are telling us to:

BUY
AUDUSD
NZDUSD
AUDCAD
NZDCHF

SELL
EURAUD
GBPAUD
GBPNZD
EURNZD

I am now watching these pairs and waiting for a retracement and will trigger a ShelleyNow basket made up of these pairs when I get multiple triggers. My trigger will be the 5.1 MA (like ShelleyJem) but I will also be looking at 10.2a daily pivot crosses on multiple pairs too to help choose which pairs go in the basket.

Also interesting to note that all of the above pairs have the daily/weekly/monthly pivots in the correct order as per 10.2a.

Will keep you all updated.

I'm in Sydney, Australia. I don't trigger my trades at London open - have a look at my previous post or ShelleyJem for more info. I am risking 2% on each basket but targeting more using adaptive jumping stops. I determine lot size by first looking at how many pips I'm going for on each pair X the number of pairs.

Eg, aim for 50pips x 9 pairs = 450 pips stop. Then divide 2% of my account size by 450 pips to get ~ .24 lot size.

Jemook, didn't ShelleyJem implement most of the retracement triggers you're using to kick off your ShelleyNow basket? Would it work nearly as well as what you're doing by hand?

My situation is such that I can't watch the market all the time. An EA that watches for retracements would work a lot better for me, even if it doesn't work quite as well.

I couldn't get ShelleyJem EA to work in the exact way that I was trading so I abandoned it for a manual approach. I still use ShelleyNow to manage my basket (and love it!!)

You can still trade ShelleyJem style manually without staring at charts all day. I have a look when I wake up, before dinner and then before bed which coincides with Asian open, London open, NY open.

I chuck these pairs in my basket:
1. strongly trending D1 TMA slope greater than +/-.8
2. Correct order of daily, weekly, monthly pivots

I then trigger the basket when most of the pairs have:
a. retraced to daily pivots and I expect a bounce OR
b. retraced over the daily pivot and are now crossing the pivot again in the direction of trend OR
b. retraced and are starting to hit 5.1 MA's back in the direction of trend

It's pretty simple, my profit and stops are all in place so I don't have to baby the trades and I just walk away*. Set up all the potential basket pairs on one screen (get a 2560 x 1440 monitor!) and just wait for retracements and triggers.

*The walking away bit is an outright lie, I actually stare lustfully at my pip total for hours on end.

Hi Jemook, just a quick question: do you require the H4 to be aligned with slope +/- .4 or?
